Bright annealing furnace with antechamber for moving the annealing material in and out.
The invention relates to the arrangement and design of the antechambers for introducing and discharging the annealing material. tcs for bright annealing furnaces.
The invention features her} dr. by. that the antechambers are arranged in such a way that they can be adapted to the length of the annealing material in order to save filling gas. The adaptation is achieved in that movable antechambers of different lengths corresponding to the size of the annealing material are interchangeably connected to the annealing space, or that the correspondingly long antechambers can be divided according to the length of the annealing material, e.g. by means of slides or fillers or that , e.g. short antechambers, can be extended by adding moving parts.
The invention allows the use of one and the same oven for the different

of the annealing material and only the correspondingly large space needs to be filled with the indifferent gas.
In the drawing, Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section of the furnace. Fig. 2 also shows a longitudinal section of lateral parts on a larger scale, while Fig. 3 shows a cross section through one of the antechambers, and Figs. 4, 5 'and 6 further embodiments show in longitudinal section:
In the embodiment illustrated in the drawing in FIGS. 1 to 3, the antechambers a and e can be moved up and down and sealed against the furnace surface.
In this arrangement, the bottom b of the antechambers is independent of the hoods h of the antechambers; the hoods are provided with a seal d at the bottom and at the head, and are connected to a chassis f movable on rails n, on which they can be raised and lowered in the embodiment shown by screws s. When starting and stopping, the

Gas supply to the Kammerr @ ame either from above or below, depending on whether the inert gas is lighter or heavier than the atmospheric air. If the gas is supplied from above (Fig. 1 and 2 at u), the air is given the opportunity to escape downwards (Fig. 1 and 2 at u) and, in the other case, it is reversed.
