EMI1.1
Setzt man z.

EMI1.1
The present invention relates to a method for producing solid, plastic masses.
What is new is that bovine blood serum is mixed with formic acid and trioxymethylene or formaldehyde and then heated with phenol and sodium superoxide until the product has solidified.
If you put z. B. to bovine blood serum or another protein solution formic acid or formaldehyde solution and hydrogen peroxide, the result is a clear, light colored solution which solidifies to a white mass when standing for a longer or shorter time. This shows. brought to dryness, a horn-like state.
However, the mass has the fault that it is brittle and therefore breaks easily.
This problem can be remedied by adding phenol, in which the mass is heated for a long time.
It is advisable to use trioxymethylell instead of formaldehyde and sodium superoxide instead of hydrogen peroxide in order to accelerate the reaction and reduce the amount of liquid.
Through the use of sodium peroxide, the formic acid used is neutralized at the same time as the formation of sodium hydroxide solution.
For example, 100 parts of bovine blood serum are mixed with 25% strength formic acid and 20 to 30 parts of trioxymethylene. uses 80 to 90 parts of phenol and sodium mixed with water
