Verfahren zur Herstellung negativer Polelektroden für alkalische Sammler.
Für alkalische Sekundärelemente. z. B. Nickel-Eisensammler, sind als Material ffir die negative Polelektrode praktisch nur Eisen oder Kadmium oder Legierungen von Eisen und Kadmium zu verwenden. Es bietet jedoch Schwierigkeiten, negative Elektroden herzustellen. welelhe dauernd auf die Gewichtseinheit eine der theoretischen auch nur annähernd nahekommende Kapazität zeigen. Gute Ergebnisse sind in dieser Beziehung zu erzielen, wenn man das vorliegende Verfahren zur Herstellung der negativen wirksamen Masse zur Anwendung bringt. Nach diesem Verfahren wird äusserst feines Metallpulver, insbesondere fein gepulvertes Eisen oder Kadmium oder ein Gemisch beider, mit konzentriertem Ammoniakwasser versetzt und gekocht, bis das Pulver völlig trocken ist.
Dabei ist das Eindampfen zweckmässig auf dem Wasserbad zu bewirken, um eine zu weitgehende Sauerstoffaufnahme durch zu starke Erhitzung zu vermeiden.
Dieses trockene Pulver wird nun, wie gewöhnlich, in gelochte Taschen oder Behälter hineingepresst und hiernach sofort der Elektrolyse ausgesetzt, welche aus der durch die einwirkung

However, it has difficulties in making negative electrodes. Welelhe permanently show a capacity even approximately approaching the theoretical capacity on the unit of weight. Good results can be obtained in this regard using the present process for the preparation of the negative active composition. According to this process, extremely fine metal powder, in particular finely powdered iron or cadmium or a mixture of both, is mixed with concentrated ammonia water and boiled until the powder is completely dry.
It is advisable to effect the evaporation on a water bath in order to avoid excessive oxygen uptake due to excessive heating.
This dry powder is now, as usual, pressed into perforated pockets or containers and then immediately exposed to the electrolysis resulting from the action
