Abstract

  Die Erfindung betrifft eine Saitenkugel. Saitenkugeln werden am Saitenhalterende bei Saiten für Musikinstrumente als Widerlager zum Spannen der Saiten verwendet.

  Die Erfindung beruht darauf, das anstatt von dämpfenden Legierungen für die Saitenkugeln die Titanlegierung TiA16V4 ( Nr. 3. 7165 oder 3. 7164 ) verwendet wird. 



  Da die Saitenkugel die direkte Übertragungsstelle der Impulse darstellt, ist es wichtig, die Impulse und Schwingungen nicht zu dämpfen. 



  Diese Legierung ist durch die Dichte von 4,42 kg pro dm3 und der Zugfestigkeit von mind. 890 N /mm2 mit dem damit verbundenen Elastizitätsmoduls für diesen Zweck geeignet. 



  Der Erfolg ist gut hörbar, da die Ansprache des Instruments und die Brillanz sowie die Tragfähigkeit des Tones entschieden verbessert werden, da praktisch keine Dämpfung der Schwingungen und der Obertöne durch eine weichere Legierung stattfindet Die fallweise Beschichtung mit WC/C oder TiN in einem physikalischen Aufdampfungsverfahren dient, um bei Bedarf die Klangfarbe aufzuhellen.
