EMI1.1
So erzielt man z.

EMI1.1
It is known that the voltage or current strength generated by a Gletchstrommasctnne is theoretically not a constant; however, it approaches constancy the closer the closer the groups of elements distributed on the armature to one another, so that in practice the current taken from such a machine appears to be continuous.
For various purposes, however, it is advantageous to cancel this continuity and to use an interrupted one instead of the continuous direct current. So you get z. B. for the operation of a spark inductor by switching on a breaker in the direct current circuit, which opens and closes the direct current circuit.
EMI1.2
However, one soon comes to a limit with regard to the strength of the current used, since a mechanically or chemically operating breaker fails at a relatively high current strength.
The present invention now aims to eliminate this deficiency and also to enable the generation of interrupted direct current of relatively high current strength. If one considers for this purpose what has been said above about the character of a DC machine, one will find that if one reduces the number of element groups of a DC machine, the apparent continuity of the direct current disappears more and more and one obtains a pronounced wave character instead .
Finally, if you only attach as many element groups to the armature of the machine as there are magnetic poles and if you also give the commutator only as many insulated lamellas, you get a perfectly evenly rising and falling wave current.
However, this wave current cannot be used for the practical cases in question with this invention, since for this the direct current does not have to have a wave-like, but a suddenly rising and falling character interrupted by pauses, a character like that of a good breaker influenced direct current shows relatively low amperage.
The present invention consists in arranging the winding space of the element groups and magnetic poles in such a way that the winding space of each element group is the same as or smaller than the field 1086 space between two adjacent poles in which no induction takes place.
Such a field diagram is shown in the figure. Here N and /: 3 mean the poles, a the winding space of an armature element, b the duration of the induction of a
Poles on an element, c the duration of the induction of a magnetic pole on an Elpull. nt
EMI1.3
In this diagram c is greater than b and a is less than c minus b, then instead of the wave character one has an interrupted direct current.
