AC collector motor with sliding brushes.
The present invention relates to such AC commutator motors with sliding brushes in which the iron body of the main and reversing poles is united and is excited by a common winding. It relates to a means by which it is possible to move the brushes when reversing the machine and also when regulating the speed, while still maintaining the correct compensation of the armature in every brush position. The proposed arrangement is characterized in that it allows the desired effect to be achieved in a particularly complete and expedient manner.
The means is that you do not place the entire field winding in the free space r between the poles, but only part, about half, and the rest in one or more of the neighboring slots iq, with the same number of turns of the per slot Field winding are to be accommodated, as there are of the compensation winding in it.

The advantage is that any crossing or cranking of the winding heads is avoided and therefore a very small projection of the heads is achieved.
This arrangement is shown in FIG. 2, namely in elevation and in section. The winding heads themselves are not fully identified in the view, but for the sake of clarity only by lines starting from the centers of the wires. The compensation wires 1 to 6 lie on an inner, the remaining wires 7 to 10 on an outer cylinder surface. In this figure, only one slot is used next to each pole edge for field and compensation coils, while in Fig. 1 two are used .. The number of these slots is of course for the inventive idea

PATENT CLAIMS:
1. AC collector motor with common iron and common winding for main and turning field and compensation winding evenly distributed over the circumference, in which the brushes are shifted both to change the direction of rotation and for speed control, characterized in that the common main and turning field winding is partly is housed in the space (r) between the poles (a to Ah),
