Einrichtung zur Verhinderung des Eindringens von Flüssigkeit In elektrische Sammler.
Bei den in Schiffen aufgestellten elektrischen Sammlern ist häufig die Gefahr vorhanden, dass Seewasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten, z. B. Petroleum, bei Havarien durch die notwendigerweise vorhandenen Öffnungen in die Elementgefässe eindringt. Hiedurch wird einmal der Elektrolyt verunreinigt und so die Lebensdauer der Sammler verkürzt, ferner wird durch chemische und elektrolytische Vorgänge aus dem Seewasser Chlor entwickelt, welches die Besatzung belästigt.
Die den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildende Einrichtung bezweckt, das Eindringen von Flüssigkeit in die Elemente bei Überflutung derselben zu verhindern oder wenigstens einzuschränken. Sie besteht darin, dass die zum Ableiten der Gase und Durchleiten der Luft in den Elementen vorhandenen Öffnungen mit einem solchen Ventil versehen sind, welches den Ausund Eintritt der Gase ungehindert vor sich gehen lässt, dagegen selbsttätig den Eintritt von Flüssigkeit verhindert.
