Automatic cutting device for extrusion.
Automatically acting cutters for brick presses are known, the cutting frames of which are driven by the advancement of the carriage caused by the strand, the carriage being returned by a weight directly acting on it. In the cutting device according to the present invention, a device is provided by means of which the weight is used both for transferring movement of the carriage to the cutting frame and for returning the carriage. This device shows a very simple design and is consequently? They are also not very sensitive to external influences.
1 to 3 of the drawing show in plan view, side view, cross section an embodiment of the cutter forming the subject of the invention for brick extrusion presses, from the mouthpiece of which, for example, four strands emerge, FIGS. 4 to 6 show a detail.

and then about the roles of the car. This has at its end on the delivery side externally mounted flap levers k, which are designed with two arms. In the working position, the longer arms reach across the wagon up to the middle and are part of the width of the strands.

The roller f is arranged horizontally and above it carries a ratchet wheel A which can move independently of the roller f and is arranged concentrically therewith, as well as a ratchet pawl z provided with a spring which engages the teeth of the ratchet wheel. The diameter of the roll / is like this

Reverse gear of the car makes half a turn backwards.
Daa ratchet wheel A only takes part in the movement of the roller / when the carriage moves forward and remains at rest during the carriage return, as the pawl slides over the teeth of the gear. The crank is on the ratchet wheel h. 1, which makes half a turn when the car goes forward, stops when it goes down and completes the turn when the car goes forward for the second time. The connecting rod is attached to the crank

Shape, which facilitates the removal of the bricks, which slide two to the right and two to the left and are easy to remove.
When the carriage retreats, the flaps k are closed again in that the lugs x of the flap levers connected by the spring o are pivoted outward through inclined run-on tracks r, overcoming the spring force. At the moment the car arrives in the initial position, the flaps are back against the brick strands after the catches l have jumped in. If the car now moves forward again due to the action of the strand, the ratchet wheel h and with it the crank are taken along by the roller f, the cutting frame is moved and the weight is raised at the same time. When the carriage moves forward again, the crank is turned further by 1800 and the cutting frame is pushed back for further cuts.
If the strand is profiled in such a way that the cut bricks are perpendicular to the strand direction, the unwinding table is expediently made in one piece; it can also be replaced by a conveyor belt.
