Installation on a water meter with Woltmann wing, in which only part of the amount of liquid to be measured flows through the water meter.

With the water meters with Woltmann wing commonly used in practice, the entire amount of liquid always flows through the water moss and this is also indicated by the clockwork driven by the water. In the case of Woltmann knives, which indicate large amounts of liquid, this method leads to costly arrangements because the dimensions of the Woltmann wing must increase disproportionately when the amount of water flowing through increases. In order to avoid this, according to the invention, the amount of water is divided in front of the wing, without changing the original direction, and only a certain part of the total amount is sent through the wing knife.

The other part also unites with the former while maintaining its direction of flow, but must first pass through fixed resistances which have the same resistance values as the wing knife.

The drawing shows the subject matter of the invention in an exemplary embodiment.

As FIG. 1 shows, the wing a is housed in a special tube b and can have very small dimensions; it is set in motion by a smaller amount of water, while the larger one flows around the tube b through an annular cross section c according to FIG.

The wing, on the other hand, must correctly indicate the total amount of water to the clockwork.

It must therefore be ensured that the resistance value both inside and in the ring-shaped cross-section is always the same when the amount of water changes. To achieve this, according to the invention, in the annular cross section c, a resistor in
Shape of a cellular division of the outer cross-section or a sieve, one
Tissue or any device that creates resistance.

The knife has been correctly calibrated as soon as both rooms, when water flows through them, individually or both together at the same time, result in the same resistance value for different amounts of water.
