the latter serves to stop the piston from moving upwards. According to the invention, the piston f is now simultaneously designed as a control member, namely in the embodiment according to FIG Water can pass into the lower part of the cylinder when the piston is raised, in order to flow from there through the openings o in the cylinder base.
The mode of operation of the device is briefly as follows:
The pressurized water flows one after the other through the pipe rods a, the air chamber b, the heavy rods c, into the upper part of the cylinder d and from there through the grooves n, the lower cylinder part and the openings o to the bottom of the borehole, from there while flushing out of the latter to rise again.
When the water has reached a certain speed, the piston is pushed downwards against the action of the spring h, so that the passage openings formed by the grooves 1t are closed and the piston, as a result of the increase in pressure caused by this, is pushed down firmly onto the sole of the Borehole is driven. When the accumulated amount of water recoils, the piston f is raised again by the spring h during the temporary pressure reduction that occurs, whereupon the game begins anew. As can be seen from this, the opening and closing of the passage openings for the water is inevitably brought about by the movement of the piston with each stroke.
The embodiment shown in FIG. 2 differs from the one described above in that the piston f itself is hollow and is provided with slot openings p at the top instead of the grooves of FIG. 1, which control the water in the same way as those which flows off through the opening q at the bottom.
FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the drilling device with control according to FIG. 2, the lower part of the piston being designed as a crown drill instead of a simple chisel drill.
This does not change the way the control works.
EMI2.1
Pressurized water available, while the remaining part, flowing through the bore of the piston or pipe cutter, is used to flush the borehole.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Push drilling device operated with pressurized water, in which the percussion piston is thrown forward by the living force of a moving, suddenly blocked amount of water and is moved back by the action of a spring during the resulting water jolt, characterized in that the blocking of the flowing water is inevitable by the piston itself is effected.
