Description

Process for the preparation of papers for decal printing also for ceramic decals using unsized paper and a dextrin-glycerin
Mixture.

It is known to coat completely unsized paper with a solution of dextrin in water with the addition of a little glycerine in order to print the colors of the peelable paper after the coat has dried.

When the release papers are produced in this way, rejects arise when painting by hand or with the machine: the completely unsized paper becomes limp and unstable due to the wet coating; the slightest pull on the paper is enough to tear it up and often render it unusable for several meters. There is therefore a major disruption to the machine line; the unsized smooth paper (flows through the wet spread, is therefore

 Match the colors to achieve.

The method according to the invention is also based on the use of completely unsized paper, but contrary to the previous spread of dextrin on paper, the paper is printed smoothly with a dextrin-gycerin mixture on stone or letterpress hand or high-speed press. As soon as the print has tightened and dried, the colors can be printed immediately. The paper remains smooth and unchanged, the print accepts the color print and the drawing well, and the color print does not cause the slightest difficulty.
 EMI1.2

For papers for ceramic decals, 10% flow must be added to the printing company. This means that the ceramic colors can be better processed and fired, and the previously necessary time-consuming waking up of the images before firing is no longer necessary.

Any expensive printing forms are not necessary, a smooth stem or metal plate is sufficient.

A good large format high-speed press produces many more sheets than the best coating machines, and rejects are as good as impossible when printing, while when printing
