   Im Stammpatent Nr. 59036 ist ein Verfahren zum Arbeiten mit Wasserstoff oder wasserstoffhaltigen Gasen, insbesondere für die Herstellung von Ammoniak aus den Elementen unter Druck bei erhöhter Temperatur unter Verwendung von Gefässen, die mit besonderen   Verstärkungen vorsehen   sind, beschrieben, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die eigentliche Gefässwand aus einem bei den in Betracht kommenden   Verhältnissen   an sich mechanisch nicht genügend festen, aber gegen Wasserstoff chemisch möglichst widerstandsfähigen, doch für diesen   durchlässigen   Material herstellt und dafür sorgt, dass der durch die Gefässwand hindurchtretende Wasserstoff ohne grossen Widerstand entweichen kann. 



   Es wurde nun gefunden, dass es nicht nötig ist, sich auf die Verwendung von gegen Wasserstoff widerstandsfähigem Material zu beschränken, dass es vielmehr auch möglich   i--t,   die   Gefässwand   aus   einem Matssrial herzustHen, welches für Wasserstoff sowohl durch-     lässig,   als auch gegenüber   demselben nicht widerstandsfähig ist. Man kann   also für die eigentliche Gefässwand z. B. mehr oder weniger kohlenstoffhaltiges technisches Eisen verwenden. 



     Bezüglich   der Anordnungen für das Entweichen des durch die Gefässwand hindurchtretenden Wasserstoffs gilt auch hier das im   stammpatent   Nr.   n9036 Gesagte.   



   Von besonderer Wichtigkeit ist das Verfahren für die synthetische Darstellung \on
Ammoniak aus den Elementen unter Druck mit Hilfe von Katalysatoren.
