 EMI1.1

There are known nose clips which are rotatably and resiliently mounted in their lower parts about an axis, while their upper end is connected to the nose spring without suspension. On the other hand, it is not new to equip the nose clamp at its upper end with a special spiral spring, but to connect its lower end firmly to the frame of the glass or to the glass.

The present invention summarizes the advantages of the two arrangements in a combination and supports the nose clip bracket at its lower end or slightly shifted towards the center of the same movable about an axis normal to the plane of the lens, while the upper end of the clip bracket is resiliently connected to the by a double spiral spring End of the nose spring is connected.

In the drawing, the new arrangement is represented by a view (FIG. 1) and a detail (FIG. 2). The clamp a is rotatably mounted about the axis b in the frame of the glass or in the glass itself, the axis b being arranged either at the lower end of the clamp or, as shown, slightly shifted towards the center of the same. At the upper end of the clamp (Fig. 2) there is a double spiral spring c.

This special construction ensures that the pince-nez will sit extremely well on the nose, since the pressure on the nose is essentially only transferred to the upper part of the clamping bracket.
