Device for injecting the fuel in internal combustion engines that work with two different fuels.
The invention relates to a device for introducing liquid fuels into internal combustion engines, in which two different fuels are introduced into the cylinder. This is especially the case when using difficult to ignite fuels, in which an easily ignitable fuel is introduced in order to initiate the ignition and to increase the temperature in the working cylinder before the operating fuel is introduced.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. a is the fuel valve, b the sealing surfaces that seal off the atomizer chamber e from the inside of the cylinder, c are the atomizer plates and e is the chamber into which the operating fuel is introduced through channel d. The blow-in air line (not shown) also opens into this space e at some point. p is the feed line for the pilot fuel, which opens into a hole q in the stationary sleeve h.
The passage of the pilot fuel into the annular space m on the valve sealing surface or in the space f takes place through a mounted in the valve spindle a
EMI1.1
arranged in the sleeve h in such a way that when the valves are closed the connection between the pilot fuel line p and the annular space m or f is established.
If the valve a now opens, 50 the opening of the bore y is displaced with respect to the bore q and the further inflow of pilot fuel is thereby cut off.
The pilot fuel stored in the annular space rn is dragged into the cylinder when valve a is opened by the compressed air in the atomizer chamber f, e or the amount of fuel in the atomizer. Due to the special design of the annular space 1n, complete emptying of this space can be achieved.
So that the annulus is almost completely filled with pilot fuel during the next feed. it is sufficient to initiate the supply of the pilot fuel so early that the mixture of propulsion fuel and injection fuel still present in the annular space m mainly escape through the valve, which is still partially open
EMI1.2
because the newly supplied fuel collects due to gravity in the lower part of the annulus.
The risk of the valve needle being opened prematurely during the pressure stroke of the pilot fuel pump is counteracted by a spring pressing on the valve spindle a, which must already be present inside the cylinder in relation to the pressure acting from below on the valve spindle. A significant increase in pressure between the pressure valve of the fuel pump and the channel q is ruled out due to the air vessel located at each B-'onstoffpump.
The supply line p can be arranged at any point; B. lie entirely in the stationary sleeve h.
