could have. As a counteraction against the pressure between heel laps and cushions, only the frictional resistance comes into consideration, which counteracts the displacement of the foot in the shoe, and for this reason the heel cushion according to the invention can also be used in such shoes, in contrast to the known devices specified above , whose front part (toe of shoe) is kept wide enough, act in the most perfect way.
Instead of rubber, the cushion could also be made of leather, felt or a similar material; in this case it is advisable to cover the outer surface of the same with rubber material. The heel cushion could also be designed as a compressed air cushion.
Cushions of various thicknesses are expediently kept in stock so that shoes made for normal feet can be made to fit different heel shapes by inserting different cushions.
The cushion is expediently glued into the shoe with a rubber solution in the position shown in the drawing.
