<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

<Desc/Clms Page number 9>
<Desc/Clms Page number 10>
<Desc/Clms Page number 11>
<Desc/Clms Page number 12>
<Desc/Clms Page number 13>
<Desc/Clms Page number 14>

The invention relates to a room cell for protecting a transmitter system or other electrotechnical devices for the
Telecommunication with at least one fan element and with ventilation openings in at least one cell wall.
Transmitter systems or corresponding electrotechnical devices generate relatively high power losses, and their service life depends on certain limit temperatures that must not be exceeded. So-called Telekom mobile boxes, which are manufactured as steel containers or as concrete room cells - each with an access door - serve as the room cell.
To dissipate heat losses of up to 4 kW, the applicant has developed its own ventilation concept for concrete room cells that does not require an air conditioning unit and only - relatively rarely - requires the use of a built-in fan at high outside temperatures. For this purpose, a fan element measuring 52 cm x 64 cm is installed on the door side, which contains a filter mat. Ventilation slots close to the roof are provided for the exhaust air, as can be found in an embodiment of DE 197 06 320 Al by the applicant. If the temperature inside the station rises above 45 C, a fan installed in the opposite wall switches on - for a cut-out diameter of 34.5 cm - with the supply air air element with filter mat as well as the supply air cross section the ventilation slots serve.
Due to the type of their construction, the greatest possible introduction of dust is avoided.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Knowing this state of the art, the inventor has set the goal of improving the cooling behavior in so-called mobile boxes and of meeting higher requirements which the previous procedure is not up to. On the one hand, 7 kW and 10 kW of loss power should be dissipated in addition to 4 kW, on the other hand the permissible internal cell temperature should only be a maximum of 35 C, even at a maximum ambient temperature
Outside air - from 40 C; in this constellation, natural ventilation with the help of a fan does not lead to any improvement.
The teaching of the independent claim leads to the solution of this task; the subclaims indicate favorable further training. In addition, all combinations of at least two of the features disclosed in the description, the drawing and / or the claims fall within the scope of the invention.
According to the invention, at least one fan element and at least one cooling device for cooling the interior air are arranged in a ventilation opening in the roof area - or a corresponding connection to the cell exterior - of the room cell and in the cell interior. In addition, the cooling device should be arranged on the inside at least one wall opening of the cell wall.
It has proven to be advantageous to arrange a condenser and an evaporator of the cooling device at least one wall opening, with an air outlet opening being provided at least near the evaporator in the front wall of a housing of the cooling device.
Otherwise, a separate air circuit should be assigned to that cooling device, as will be discussed further below.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
A normal air conditioner, for example 7 kW or 10 kW
Cooling capacity is very expensive and voluminous. At a
Split device would also be at risk of vandalism for the external parts.
For example, according to the concept according to the invention, ventilation is operated according to the above-mentioned method over most of the year period - at not so high temperatures. H. Via a supply air element with a filter mat, which is arranged on the back of the room cell or the mobile box due to the space requirement of the additional cooling device developed according to the invention and to be assigned to the supply air, including the all-round ventilation and one - for reasons of space and because of the Location at the highest point - in the roof of the fan with 3000 m3 hourly output.
If the natural ventilation and the additional use of the fan are no longer sufficient to compensate for the above-mentioned temperature. To meet requirements, the supply air - outside air up to 40 C - is cooled with the internal cooling unit, at the same time the fan in the roof is in operation. Compared to conventional air conditioners, which generally cool the indoor air, this solution is more cost-effective and less maintenance-prone, both in terms of acquisition and operation; Cooling units operate much less than the air conditioning.
The cooling device used according to the invention in the preferred dimensions 65 x 40 x 18 cm contains the condenser described immediately before and at the level of the supply air element. The supply air then enters the mobile box, cooled down, into the mobile box, supplies it with cool air that exchanges heat with the devices and dissipates the waste heat via the fan located in the roof and the all-round ventilation. Since the device is mounted in a corner of the mobile box, the cooling air outlet is L-shaped on two sides of the device according to the invention.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The condenser of the cooling device is preferably cooled by a separate air circuit, which is maintained by radial fans located in the top of the device and via an air supply grille in the concrete wall of the mobile box as well as an exhaust air grille above the supply air grille in the concrete wall of the mobile box with the Outside air is formed.
The cooling units are designed in such a way that they have the same sizes and the same connection dimensions for both 4 kW and 7 kW as for 10 kW power loss in the mobile box.
Thanks to these measures, a method for air conditioning the above cell to protect a transmitter system or other electrotechnical devices for telecommunications can be operated, in which the supply air is cooled with an internal cooling device while a roof ventilation element is actuated.
The inventive concept leads u. a. to the following advantages: # less operating hours than an air conditioner, since the internal temperatures are always higher than that
Outside temperatures are therefore # longer life; # cheaper solution than air conditioners; # Space saving due to special construction; # Interchangeability for different requirements (4 kW, 7 kW, 10 kW) in a building, since the additional cooling devices and the construction elements supply / exhaust air and the like in the mobile box have the same dimensions.

A cuboid-shaped room cell or mobile radio box 10 made of concrete and having a rectangular outline, for example an outer side length a of here 240 cm and one
Width b of 180 cm has monolithically molded, mutually parallel side walls 14 on a base plate 12,

This step 18 forms with a roof panel 20 shown in FIG. 5, 6 a ventilation slot 22 close to the roof, the configuration of which - in particular an outer cover with cover profiles 24 - can be found, for example, in DE 197 06 320 A1 as part of a switchover station can. Flow arrows x in FIG. 1 indicate the flow directions prevailing here.
The roof panel 20 of edge height z of 14 cm, provided by a vertex line 19 with two surfaces 21 inclined towards the edge, is overlaid with an overhang i of approximately 10 cm on the station walls 14, 14a, which in the example in FIGS. 16 placed and fixed at the corners - in the area of anchor holes 26 - with the interposition of sealing plugs 27 by tie rods 28.
Then the above-mentioned cover profiles 24 are fixed in the area of the ventilation slots 22, for example at dowel holes 23. In FIG. 1, the edge 20a of the roof plate 20 which is missing there is indicated by dashed lines.
According to FIGS. 5, 6, the roof panel 20 provided with insulation panels 30 on its inner surface has a ventilation opening 34 with a fan 36, which is covered by a roof dome 32 and encompassed by an outer edge collar 33; its hourly output is preferably 3000 m3. A circular projection of the tubular ventilation opening 34 is indicated at 34a in FIG. 1, and also in FIG.

14a protrudes.
1, 5, 6, 52 transmitters or other electrotechnical devices for telecommunications are arranged on the end walls 16 in FIGS. 1, 5, 6, which generate relatively high power losses and whose service life depends on certain limit temperatures. In addition, on the door-free side wall 14a there is a cooling device 54 with a housing 56 with the width s of here 65 cm, the depth t of about 40 cm and the height hz of 180 cm. Because of the air supply, two openings 15 with ventilation grilles neglected in the drawing are provided in this side wall 14a according to FIG. 3.
The cooling device 54 contains in its housing 56-- in front of and at the level of a supply air element of the side wall 14a-- equipped with filter mat / s - a condenser 59 and below it an evaporator 60 of a respective width S1 of 50 cm. A compressor 61 is sketched near the evaporator 60 and an air outlet opening 58 on the front surface 57 of the housing 56 facing the cell interior 50; 6 also shows a lateral air outlet opening 56a. cooled into the mobile radio box 10 (arrow y), this supplies it with cool air which is in heat exchange with the electrical devices and the heat loss through that in the
Roof plate 20 located fan 36 and the
All-round ventilation 22 leads away.
The cooling device 54 is mounted at a distance c from here 60 cm to the adjacent end wall 16, and the cooling air outlet takes place on at least two sides of this cooling device 54.
The condenser of the cooling device 54 is cooled by a separate air circuit, which - from above in the cooling device
54 - radial fans 62 is maintained and is formed with the outside air via an air supply grille in the concrete wall of the mobile radio box 10 and an air grille located above the supply air grille in the concrete wall. Supply air flow and exhaust air flow can also be routed through a common grille.
The cooling devices 54 are designed in such a way that they have the same sizes and the same connection dimensions for both 4 kW and 7 kW or 10 kW power loss in the mobile radio box 10, both because of the standardization (series production of the housing) and because of the same bender forms of the room cells 10 made of concrete, moreover because of the interchangeability in one.
In addition to the cooling device 54, a low-voltage distribution 64 with a width ti of 30 cm and a height k of 90 cm is arranged at a distance ki from the base plate 12.
The room cell or mobile radio station 10a of FIGS. 18 to 26 is also cast monolithically and closed at the top by a roof plate 20. Its walls 14, 14a, 16 are just as thermally insulated as the single-leaf security door 40. The weight of the room cell 10a without devices is 70 kN.

The mobile radio station 10, 10a has special requirements with regard to the internal temperature.
Accordingly, with a maximum outside temperature of 35 C and a power loss of the installed devices of 7 kW, an inside temperature of 35 C must not be exceeded. A three-stage ventilation and air conditioning concept is used to ensure these conditions. In the first stage, according to Fig. 21, 22, the heat loss is dissipated by natural convection, i.e. through a supply air blind 68 with dust filter mat and an exhaust air all-round ventilation 70.
With increasing outside temperatures, the heat loss is removed in the second stage - Fig. 23, 24 - by increasing the ventilation throughput with the help of a fan 36a installed in the back wall of the station. If the limit temperatures of 35 C are reached in the second stage in the station interior 50, the cooling device 54 switches on for the supply air, so that the supply air flow of stage 2 is additionally cooled. The heat dissipation of the cooling device 54 takes place via a ventilation circuit - supported by a separate fan.
Both the supply air opening to room cell 10a and the ventilation openings of the cooling device circuit are covered by a specially designed common ventilation blind. Direct weather influences on the cooling device 52

are excluded. This construction ensures a high level of property protection.
There is also the option of working on the remaining three
Unrestricted insertion of cables into the station sides.
The effectiveness of the system described was confirmed by a
Documented experiment in a climate chamber in which the
Simulating the power loss of the devices, three radiators with a total heating power of 7 kW were installed, which were permanently switched on for the duration of the measurement series. The regulation of ventilation levels 2 (fan) and 3 (cooling device) was set so that the fan switched on at a room temperature of 30 C and switched off again at 25 C, the cooling device switched on at a room temperature of 35 C and again at 27 C. switched off.
The room sensor for the control was located in the middle of the room between the devices at a distance of about 15 cm below the roof panel 20. In order to be able to record the development of temperatures at various points in the entire interior, fifteen thermocouples were positioned.
The investigations in the climatic chamber should serve to determine the temperature distribution in the room, to determine the mean room temperature and to determine the appropriate positioning of the room temperature sensor for the control of the fan and the air conditioner.
For this purpose, ambient temperatures were gradually set from 10 C to 35 C. The relative humidity was adjusted in accordance with DIN 8900, Part 2.
Twenty minutes after the warm load was switched on, it was found that the ambient temperature of 10 C exceeded the limit value of 35 C on the room sensor, so that ventilation levels 2 and 3 were in operation. It was obvious that the room sensor was under the roof in one

Heat pad hung, as it also from measurements of
Transformer ventilation attempts are known.
In the course of the tests, the optimal position of the
Room sensor, which is the average room temperature for the
Control of ventilation levels 2 and 3 should determine the position in front of the rear wall below the fan.
After repositioning the room sensor, the continuation of the measurements showed that ventilation level 2 was able to withstand an ambient temperature of up to 30 ° C
Keep room temperature below 35 C. Since it was also assumed that at lower ambient temperatures the
If ventilation level 1 (natural convection) is sufficient, the climatic chamber was reduced to 5 C at the end of the tests.
Further metrological investigations took place in the open area. The location was chosen so that the mobile station 10a was free all day in the sun and wind.
The measurement arrangement was based on the results of the metrological examination in the climate chamber. The regulation of ventilation level 2 - fan - was retained (on at 30 C, off at 25 C room temperature) and that of ventilation level 3 (cooling device) was changed so that the cooling device switched on at 35 C and switched off again at 30 C. ,
The sensor E for the detection and regulation of the average room temperature was positioned on the rear wall 14a below the fan 36a. The metrological investigations in the climatic chamber were confirmed in such a way that even at day temperatures above 30 C - as they were achieved on the measuring days in open terrain - ventilation level 2 was able to maintain the mean room temperature even at all times

keep the heat load of 7 kW switched on below 35 C, so the cooling unit did not switch on.
The positions of two internal temperature sensors F and one
Outside temperature sensor G can be found in Fig. 19.20 with distance dimensions (r = 110 mm; ri = 100 mm; r2 = 180 mm, r3 = 80 mm) to clarify the positions.
When the outside temperature cooled below 20 C, the fan 36a was switched off, so that ventilation level 1 was reached, i. H. the room temperature was below 25 ° C.
After about ten minutes, the room temperature rose again
30 C, so that the fan 36a switched on again. Over the duration of this series of measurements of approximately 94 hours, the running time of fan 36a (ventilation level 2) was approximately 78 hours (= 83%), so that ventilation level 1 was sufficient for approximately 16 hours (= 17%). During this period, the outside temperatures ranged from 34 C to 14 C.
In a further series of measurements over 23 hours, in which the internal heat load was reduced to 5 kW, the fan runtime was 18 hours (= 78%), ventilation level 1 was therefore sufficient for 5 hours (= 22%). During this period, the outside temperatures ranged between 33 C and 13 C.
The metrological investigations have thus shown that the 3-stage ventilation concept according to the invention has found a multifunctional, economical solution, in particular for the high demands on mobile radio stations with regard to the internal temperatures to be maintained.
The station 10, 10a with this ventilation concept is characterized by robustness, maintenance improvements and greater economy. All important functional units are arranged within the protective concrete sheathing. Operation is low maintenance and
<Desc / Clms Page number 14>
energy-saving, since the function of the cooling unit only lasts for a short period of time - seen over the year, i.e. H. in extreme - i.e. rare - temperature conditions.
In conclusion, it should be pointed out that the three-stage ventilation concept according to the invention can also be used in the context of the invention in other - not described here - room cells for electrical installations.
