  Verfahren zum Enthaaren und Reinmachen von Häuten und Fellen. 



   In der Fabrikation von Leder spielt eine Hauptrolle die sogenannte   Reinmacharbeit,   d. h. die Entfernung der Haare und des Schmutzes aus den Fellen und Häuten. Man erzielt dies gegenwärtig durch den Äscher und die Beize. 



   Es hat sich gezeigt, dass man beide Arbeiten ersetzen kann, indem man die geweichen Häute und Felle in eine Lösung von Tryptasen, x. B. Pankreastryptase, einlegt. Man unterstützt die Wirkung der Tryptasen zweckmässig durch alkalische Reaktion der Tryptaselösung und kann auch in der Weise arbeiten, dass man die   Felle   zunächst kurze Zeit in der alkalisch reagierenden Lösung vorbehandelt und dann die Tryptase zusetzt. 



  Auch kann die Wirkung der Tryptase durch Zusatz von Aminosäuren unterstützt werden Man kann z. B. in der Weise verfahren, dass man die geweichten Häute oder Felle einen Tag in eine 0.5%ige Sodalösung legt und dann die Tryptase zusetzt und etwa einen Tag in dieser Flüssigkeit   weiterbphandplt.   



   Das Verfahren hat verschiedene Vorteile vor dem bisherigen ; es bringt erhebliche Ersparnis an Zeit, da damit in zwei Tagen dasselbe erreicht wird, wie sonst in 12 bis   20 Tagen   ; es bringt weiterhin Ersparnis an Arbeit, ferner bessere Qualität der Haare und Wolle, welche während des Äschers sehr geschädigt werden. Das Verfahren bietet ferner bedeutend hygienische Vorteile für die Arbeiter und wesentliche Fortschritte in der für
