 strang eine Bogenlänge von sechs Seiten, also drei Viertel Umfang des Formzylinders abtrennen ; dieser Bogen gelangt nun, durch Bänder geführt, in die   Reisswalzen-M,   und von diesen frei in die Druckzylinder. Der Zylinder 3 erfasst den Bogen mit Nadeln 21, nimmt ihn zum einseitigen Drucke herum und übergibt ihn zum anderseitigen Drucke dem Druckzylinder 2. Von hier wird er wieder durch Nadeln   22 zum Falz- und   Nutenzylinder 5 gebracht, von diesem durch Nadeln 8 dem'Zylinder 7 übergeben, auf diesem während einer Umdrehung mit herumgenommen und hiebei das letzte Drittel abgetrennt.

   Nach erfolgtem Schnitt nehmen die Nadeln 6 durch Einstechen in die Anfänge des nunmehr zwei-und vierseitigen Bogens diese wieder um den Zylinder 5 mit herum und geben dann vor dem Falz durch Zylinder 10 die Bogen wieder frei. Der weitere Vorgang erfolgt genau wie bei acht Seiten. Da der vierseitige Bogen obenauf liegt, kommt der halbe Bogen beim Falzen innen zu liegen. 



   Den Druck vierseitiger Zeitungen veranschaulicht Fig. 5 und Fig. 6 zeigt das Abwicklungschema mit zwei Platten auf dem halben Zylinderumfang. Das Papier läuft wieder in die mit dem vierseitigen Bogen entsprechender Geschwindigkeit getriebenen Zugwalzen   15,   16 ein, um zwischen 17, 18 geschnitten zu werden. Fortleitung zum Falzzylinder 5 erfolgt   wie früher.   



  Zylinder 7 ist beim Druck von vier Seiten ausser Wirksamkeit gesetzt. Die Nadeln 6 nehmen den Bogen'von 2 ab, führen ihn mit herum (halbe Umdrehung) und es erfolgt dann das Einfalzen durch Zylinder 10 wie früher. 



   Bei zwei Seiten erfolgt der ganze Vorgang in entsprechender Weise.

The cylinder 3 grasps the sheet with needles 21, takes it around for one-sided printing and transfers it to the printing cylinder 2 for printing on the other side. From here it is brought again by needles 22 to the folding and grooving cylinder 5, from there by needles 8 to the cylinder 7, taken around on this during one turn and cut off the last third.

   After the cut has been made, the needles 6, by piercing into the beginnings of the now two-sided and four-sided sheet, take them back around the cylinder 5 and then release the sheets again before the fold by the cylinder 10. The rest of the process is the same as for eight pages. Since the four-sided sheet is on top, half of the sheet comes to rest on the inside when folding.



   The printing of four-sided newspapers is illustrated in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 shows the development diagram with two plates on half the circumference of the cylinder. The paper runs back into the draw rollers 15, 16 driven at the speed corresponding to the four-sided sheet in order to be cut between 17, 18. Forwarding to the folding cylinder 5 takes place as before.



  Cylinder 7 is disabled when printing from four sides. The needles 6 take the sheet from 2, guide it around (half a turn) and then the cylinder 10 is folded in as before.



   If there are two sides, the whole process is carried out in the same way.

PATENT CLAIM: Single-width single-roll rotary machine for front and back printing for the production of eight-, six-, four- and two-sided newspapers, characterized in that all these different prints are made from only one paper web that always remains the same width and one at the circumference of the forme cylinder or cylinders , the number of printing plates equal to the number of pages in question, in conjunction with a folding and cutting device, can be produced in a single continuous operation in such a way that, in the case of eight-page newspapers, the two four-page sheets are only cut off one after the other after printing and then folded into one another, while with six- ,
