EMI1.1

EMI1.1
In order to increase the efficiency of the machines for the production of artificial threads, two bobbin carriers have been used for some time for each spinneret in such a way that, after one bobbin has been sufficiently wound, the adjacent bobbin is quickly put into operation, so that as a result of the shortness the time the activity of the spinneret is not interrupted and the inconveniences resulting from an interruption are avoided. This switching of the thread from one bobbin to the other was previously carried out by hand.
Even with the greatest dexterity of the worker, however, differences are always noticeable both in the nature of the threads and in the amount of thread wound on the individual bobbins.
These differences are due to the fact that the coils are not turned off at the same time

long when the worker has to monitor a large number of coils.
The subject of the present invention is a device on machines for the production of artificial threads, by means of which all the full bobbins located on one side of the machine can be put out of action at the same time and the empty bobbins can be brought into effect at the same time, whereby the above-mentioned inconveniences are avoided.
FIG. 1 of the drawing illustrating the subject matter of the invention, for example, shows the device in a front view, while FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the same.
Fig. 3 shows in cross section a second embodiment of the device.
The bobbins that take up the thread are marked with a, the empty bobbins with a '. These coils are arranged above a tub b which contains the bath used for coagulation and fixation of the thread, into which the coils are immersed. In the tub b is a supported by supports d, arranged through the entire length of the tub extending rod c, which can be rotated by actuating a handle e attached to it about its axis.
A blade f, which has a U-shaped cross section and is fastened to the tub b, is arranged between each two coils a, a ′ assigned to a spinneret. Knives g are fastened to the rod c and, when the rod c is rotated, pass between the side walls of the blades by means of the handle e.
The thread guides li for the threads i are on a rod. i arranged, which is displaceable in its length direction approximately by the distance between two coil axes and which is given an oscillating movement in the transverse direction by its supports k. to wind the threads in the usual way.

are lowered, they enter between the side walls of the blades / and cut the threads so that they are now in contact with the bobbins a 'to which they are stuck, so that they are taken along by the rotating bobbins a' and be wound onto them.
After the bobbins a 'have been completely wound, the rod j is pushed back again.
Any number of bobbins together with the associated knives g, blades f and thread guides h can be arranged and set in and out of action by means of a rod c.
In the modified embodiment according to FIG. 3, the not absolutely necessary are missing
