Method and device for candy cane presses for easier scraping of the candy canes ejected next to each other by the press rams.
The customary candy cane presses have several forms and punches arranged next to and m suitable distances from one another (cf. also the designations and 'in FIG. 2) for the simultaneous production of a larger number of candy canes, which by a common. on the front sides of the candy cane attacking slider are pushed onto a drying board. In the schem. tables Fig. 1 the side by side ejected by the ram are drawn as vertical lines 4, while the slide carries the letter 13
Depending on the type and moisture of the sugar and the strength of the pressing, the pressed ones stick

But this happens, especially with weak poles. often before. that slf. h these are difficult to detach from the stamps and are pushed together by the pusher to form a shapeless heap

Cross section according to A-A of Fig. 3, Fig. 3 is a plan view and Fig. 4 is a longitudinal section according to B-B of Fig. 2, while Fig. 5 shows an end view of the slide and is intended to explain its effect.
The press molds are located next to one another in the press table, in which the press rams 3 can be moved up and down, which push the candy canes 4 out of the molds.
The slide is guided in the usual way on a bar 5 and consists of the two parts 6, 7, screwed together, of which the upper 6 carries the bolt 8 on which the press part which moves the slide in the longitudinal direction engages. The slide: part 7 engages around the bar 5 with play, so that a cavity 9 (FIG. 3) is created to the left of the same.
In this a wedge 10 (FIGS. 2, 3, 5) is first inserted, which is pressed firmly against the bar 5 under the action of a leaf spring 11 also located in the cavity 9.
As a result, a transverse displacement of the slide part 7 with the part 6 against the bar 5 in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 2 is possible and this lateral movement takes place under compression, pressing the spring 11, which, when the pressure causing the lateral movement ceases, the slide parts in the previous situation withdraws.
Below the slide part 7 are the partitions 12, which pass through the candy canes 4 in the longitudinal direction between them. The transversely directed scraper angle 13 is provided behind the partition walls. The scraping walls 12, in the present case sheets, are held by spacers 14 and 15 at such a distance from one another that they are just above the mold walls; Screws 16, which pass through the sheets 12 and the intermediate pieces 14 and 15, connect the sheets to one another to form a whole.
The intermediate end pieces 1 J serve to screw the same to the slide parts. By exchanging the spacers, you can use the trays to press the candy canes
EMI2.1
To be able to bring walls exactly over the mold walls, one can for example provide an adjusting screw 17, with the help of which one can adjust the partitions on the slide parts, which are combined into a whole, after loosening the connecting screws.
On the upper part of the slide there are now two rollers 18, 19, in the path of which two lugs 20, 21 are fixedly provided on the press frame, as described during the longitudinal movement of the slide, so that the rollers can only pass the lugs with lateral movement.
Conversely, however, the rollers can also be stationary and the lugs attached to the slide.
The evasion of the rollers (or lugs) causes the above-mentioned transverse movement of the entire slide, whereby the partition walls 72 are pressed against the left side of the candy canes 4 and these are then carried along in the transverse direction. As a result, the candy canes are detached from the press punches J. Immediately after the transverse movement has been completed, d. H. After the rollers have passed the lugs, the compressed spring 11 pulls the slide 6 back from the candy canes, lifting the partitions 12, and now
EMI2.2
The ends of the candy canes together and pushes them in front of you.
In order to bring about a parallel lateral movement of the partition walls, two rollers instead of a single one are provided on the slide; so that the slide does not carry out another lateral movement when the roller 18 passes the lug, the latter is located outside the roller conveyor.
