Kolbenstangen, Achsen und Ventilspindeln, die im Innern der Pumpen-oder Kom- pressorzylinder von Kältemaschinen, der Kompressorgehäuse und Ventilkörper mit Flüssigkeiten oder Gasen von niedriger Temperatur in Berührung kommen, veranlassen beim Austritt in die freie Atmosphäre durch Abkühlung atmosphärische Niederschläge (Tau oder Reif) auf ihrer Oberfläche. Mit der hin und her bewegten Kolbenstange oder infolge niedrigen Druckes innerhalb der Gehäuse gelangt dieses Tauwasser in die Maschine und kann dort schwere Nachteile, wie Vereisungen, Verdünnung des Schmiermittels oder chemische Reaktionen verursachen.
Diesem Nachteil wird abgeholfen, indem man die Obernäche solcher Kolbenstangen.
