Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Process for the production of photosensitive layers.

   The previous methods of imaging objects by photographic means have the disadvantage that, for objects with different contrasts, light-sensitive layers that work with different contrasts, which can be on plates, paper, films, etc., have to be used in order to be too large or too small Compensate for contrasts in the image. Thus, a hard-working layer is used for objects with low contrasts and a soft-working layer for objects with too strong a layer, and it is therefore necessary to use light-sensitive layers that are specially adapted to the diverse properties of the objects.

   Since these objects are present in the most varied of gradation differences, a large number of the most varied of light-sensitive layers is necessary for their normal imaging.

   The present invention is intended to remedy this disadvantage by replacing the many different layers with a single one which is able to adapt to the individual objects with regard to gradation. This is achieved by mixing together light-sensitive layers which work as differently as possible in their gradation and which react in different ways to the same types of light. If a certain type of light is allowed to act on the layer mixed in this way by using a color filter, then the desired success is achieved in that only a single part of the layer takes effect due to the selective effect of the type of light.

   This way one is through appropriate choice of lights. able to always obtain normal images with one and the same layer of objects with the most varied of contrasts.

     Example: 1. One blue-sensitive, hard-working layer and one green-sensitive, soft-working layer are mixed together. This layer. now works normally with blue-green light and is suitable for objects with normal gradation. If, on the other hand, you want to depict a very high-contrast object, you can use a filter that is only permeable to green to extinguish the rays acting on the hard-working layer and thus obtain a normal image using the soft-working parts. If, on the other hand, there is an object with slight contrasts, one lets through one that is only permeable to blue
Filter only the hard-working emulsion will take effect and then also get a normal picture.
