  Electric motor with regulating transformer.

In the case of electric motors, in particular in the case of single-phase and multi-phase collector motors, transformers are often used for regulation. These transformers have always been set up separately from the motors and connected to them by special cables. This type of installation required a relatively large amount of switching work as a result of the numerous connecting lines required between the motors and transformers, and the space requirement with this arrangement was relatively very large, which in many cases is felt to be unpleasant.

The object of the present invention now relates to a connection of transformers with electric motors, which, compared to the previously common designs, have significant advantages in terms of expediency of the arrangement, space savings and operational

organic whole by incorporating the former into the motor base plate or by forming the transformer housings into motor base plates.

The figure shows an embodiment according to the invention, for example, in which the motor base plate is designed as the transformer housing in which the transformer t is mounted. Furthermore, in the figure, the guiding of a gaseous coolant, for example, is indicated in such a way that it enters at e, brushes the motor m, then makes its way through the base plate via the transformer t and at a the. Machine leaves. The particular implementation of the combined motor and transformer cooling can be carried out using any cooling agent according to a cooling method that is appropriate for the respective case.

With a pinem assembly of this kind, all connections between the motor and transformer can be made at the management point, so that the motor and transformer can be delivered to the system as an organic whole and only the connection of the primary circuits has to be made on the latter. The gain in space and the greater clarity achieved in this way are of decisive importance, especially for spinning mills and weavers. Due to the uniform assembly of the transformers with the associated motors, it is also possible to have the former in the same

the air flow generated by the ventilation can also be passed over the transformers.
