Method and device for the destruction of casing pipes.

In deep boreholes, there is often the task of removing the casing from the borehole. For this purpose devices have hitherto been used which cut through the casing at its connection points in the longitudinal direction and in this way release the connection between the individual pipes so that they can be pulled out of the borehole, one pipe after the other. This method of removing casing pipes from the borehole has the disadvantage that, in particular, the lowermost casing pipes can only be pulled out with great difficulty.

In order to avoid this disadvantage, the casing pipes of the invention are destroyed according to the fact that they are chiseled off or peeled off and the chips produced in the process are removed. This procedure can be performed with a chisel that is attached to the sehwor bar of a drill string or a special string that works like a drill bit. This work is much easier to carry out than pulling out, in particular, the lowermost casing tubes or otherwise carrying them away.

A well-fitting chisel 2 with a short cutting edge 3 is inserted, for example, in a narrow depression or opening on the drill collar J ′ and held by a bolt 4. A longitudinal slot 5 on the chisel body allows a radial end position of the same, with a leaf or helical spring 6 preventing the chisel from retreating.

The m F) g. 4 illustrated mounting of the chisel 2 in the drill collar differs from that previously described in that the chisel 2 is inwardly against a
