Process for the production of a liquid leather cleaning agent8.

The present invention relates to a method for producing a liquid, easily applied leather polishing agent. The process is based on the observation that the usual gloss-giving materials, such as fuel varnishes, oil varnishes. alkaline solutions of resin, gum or kaolin, and also aqueous solutions of glue, sugar, gum, dextrin, glycols, syrup, etc. by adding solid, d. H. Petroleum emulsified with soap glue or aqueous soap solution can be converted into products with a special high-gloss effect and, above all, extremely easy to apply, of which only a few drops need to be rubbed onto the leather to be treated with a brush in order to create a thin, elastic coating layer of the most beautiful high gloss to create.

For the purpose of practical implementation of the method in question, the solid petroleum to be used as an additive, consisting of approximately equal parts of petroleum and curd soap dissolved in a little water, is initially only mixed with a part of the brightener solution concerned, e.g. B. an alkaline resin solution, stirred intimately and then added the rest of the latter. The advantageous mixing ratio of solid petroleum and the brightener solution used as the starting material has been found to be 1:10.

The desired liquid leather polishing agent is obtained in the manner indicated as a homogeneous product on which the petroleum does not separate. It goes without saying that the products manufactured in this way can be used if desired. s) can be colored as desired.
