Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Druckverfahren.

Printing process.
In an earlier patent no. 39186 a printing method is described for the direct processing of printing plates in the photographic camera by direct exposure in such a way that the plate itself which is later used for printing is produced in the camera.
It is already known to manufacture metal plates by repeated etching. The method according to the invention differs from the known ones in particular in that the development and etching of the plates is carried out simultaneously and repeatedly in one bath, and further in that the insoluble chromium gelatin layer is not removed from the finished plate.
The new process consists in the fact that the plates, after they have been processed according to the parent patent and after exposure, are rolled in with grease paint and then exposed to a second development bath in dilute nitric acid, in order to be rolled in with grease paint a second time.
This repetition of the developing bath enables you to achieve the sharpest copies. A 4% nitric acid solution is recommended as an embodiment for the second developing bath.
