Vorrichtung zur Behandlung pulverförmiger vulkanisierter Gummimasse.
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
EMI2.1

Device for the treatment of powdered vulcanized rubber compound.
EMI1.1

EMI2.1
The material is best introduced into the forms by hand.
The mode of action is as follows:
EMI2.2
Tightening the winch brings the mold to position A2. The press C works here while the heating is maintained up to the vulcanization temperature. The winch is now driven again so that the mold is in position A3 and therefore in press D.
This is not heated, if necessary also provided with cooling devices, and while the pressure continues the mass can cool down. The mold is then pulled into position A4, where the lid is lifted off with the aid of the claw F, F1 and the hydraulic press F.
Intermediate pieces are then placed on the mold and the cover is lowered onto it and left free, whereupon the mold with the cover on it is moved to position A5 and then the chain G is removed to connect it to the mold further back. Now the mold is returned to the first platform B by means of the carriage H1 and the process begins again.
The length of time during which a form is in each of the above-mentioned positions is always the same, as follows from the whole mode of operation. If this period of time is not sufficient to achieve the required degree of warmth, one can insert another or more platforms on which the molds are heated.
Instead of the platform B shown, a rail track could also be provided on which the molds are moved. The molds could also be heated by conveying them through an oven that is open on both sides.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A device for treating powdery vulcanized rubber mass, characterized by a series of shapes that are connected to one another by pulling elements, the whole chain being shifted step by step by a suitable drive device so that the material filled in is initially heated and then subjected to pressure, and Initially with continued heating, then with no longer being heated and possibly with cooling, and that it can finally cool down completely without pressure.
