(54) KITEBOARD
(54) KITEBOARD
(57) A strut-type kiteboard is described, which is characterized in that the arrangement of the longitudinally, transversely and diagonally extending, trapezoidal or semicircular spars (1) of fiber composite material forms a supporting frame which forms the intervening sections in two or more, equal or different sized areas, which serve only as connecting sliding surfaces (2), and not as load-bearing elements divides, wherein the connecting, planar sliding surfaces (2), in contrast to the supporting, trapezoidal or semicircular spars (1) in the thickness, in the laminate structure, as well as in the construction form are different and further the damping element (3) of the pads on the connecting sliding surfaces, ie between the supporting bars (1) so rests,
that it is integrated into the board and not visible from the side.
The invention relates to a kiteboard in spar construction, which is characterized in that the arrangement of the longitudinally, transversely and diagonally extending spars of fiber composite material forms a supporting frame which forms the intermediate sections into two or more surfaces of equal or different size, which only as connecting
Sliding surface, and not serve as supporting elements, shares and subsequently allows integration of the damping element of the pads in the board.
In the field of kite board production, as far as the technical characteristics are concerned, core materials from fiber composite technology, i.a.
PVC foam, honeycomb or wood used, which are laminated on the underwater hull and on the surface of the vessel with a, depending on the requirements catalog of different laminate structure of carbon, glass, Kevlar, and Dyneemafasern. As edge material, the manufacturers use primarily various plastics such as ABS.
The core is in the prior art in its basic form a, the shape of the respective kite boards corresponding plate which is either the same or tapered towards the tips over its entire length and, depending on the manufacturer and design, by milling in Ober-. , and undersea vessel receives a relief-like appearance.
Disadvantages of the above construction are less in the process than in the resulting weight limitation due to the diametrical properties of weight and durability.
In other words; If kiteboards are manufactured using the above methods and design features, weight limits can not be underestimated by the above mentioned methods and design features, otherwise the three essentially required features such as low weight, durability and optimal flex, only up to are compatible with a certain degree, or otherwise, one of the three points must be cut back.
The invention is therefore based on the object to produce a kiteboard so that the core material used is mechanically brought into a mold, resulting in improved durability and flex behavior, while further reducing the weight, since the laminate structure is tuned to the specific shape.
The invention improves on the current state of the art underlying limit, in terms of weight factor, without sacrificing durability and Flex factors. The object is achieved by reducing the core material to a load-bearing frame whose individual spars have a trapezoidal or semicircular shape in cross-section, and the intermediate surfaces are thinned out in relation to the supporting spars by a multiple. Furthermore, in the laminate structure is strictly differentiated between supporting bars and connecting sliding surfaces. Due to the special design of the core almost exclusively the spars are responsible for the durability and the flex behavior, they receive a decisive reinforcement by a more massive laminate construction.
The intervening surfaces, on the other hand, serve only as a sliding surface and do not make a decisive contribution to the stability which subsequently allows a reduction of the laminate structure in these areas.
Not only an optimization and concentration of the laminate structure on the significant stress directions, which are consequently characterized by the spars, but also the reduced core mass cause a reduction of the total weight. In order to achieve optimum flex behavior and optimal driving properties, the invention makes it possible to precisely define the bending properties and the general statics by reducing or increasing the cross-section of the spar (height and width).
Increasing the vertical extent of the spars results in increased quantity of stagnant laminate, resulting in higher stiffness and more
Stability results. The latter two properties are thus achieved by the increased beam thickness and not necessarily by increased use of laminate. By thinning the core material on the sliding surfaces, it is possible to integrate the cushioning elements of the pads into the board so that only the non-slip, structured surface material remains visible.
The damping material is thus limited laterally by the spars.
Furthermore, this feature would result in an optimal mounting option of the foot straps because the insert opening is surrounded only by the thin, structured base.
Due to the spar construction, with its technically-futuristic design-related, emphasizes three-dimensional structure, as well as the peculiarity of the integration of the pads in the board, the invention gives a novel appearance.
In the drawing, the subject invention is shown, for example. Figures 1 and 3 show the plan of a kiteboard according to the invention. Figures 2 and 4 illustrate the cross section of a kiteboard according to the invention.
According to the illustrated exemplary embodiments, see FIGS. 1 and 2, the supporting structure of a kiteboard according to the invention consists of the spars 1 forming the load-bearing structure and the sliding surfaces 2 lying between them. FIG. 1 shows the plan view of a kiteboard according to the invention with 14 sliding surfaces However, a kiteboard according to the invention in spar construction can be reduced to up to two sliding surfaces, thus on 4 spars. FIG. 2 shows the cross-section of the kiteboard according to the invention where it can be seen. *** ** NOTE: END OF DESCRIPTION MAY BE MIXED WITH CLAIMS
