The dough is whisked. This dough is then heated by boiling in a steam bath until samples taken show that it can be pulled into threads of a suitable length up to about 1 m.
This boiling will drive off all of the aqueous components. The mass produced in this way can, if necessary, lose its strongly adhesive property somewhat by introducing suitable amounts of well-dried whiting chalk, china clay or the like and processing it well. The mass can also be sufficiently diluted by suitable solvents such as benzene, gasoline, etc.
Compound III consists of highly oxidized, resinous oils, similar to those used in linoleum production.
For treatment in these masses, the animal fibers, tendons, intestines and the like are loosened by pounding, pressing, squeezing, etc., until they are in a flaky state and can be combined into a stream of suitable size. This makes the fibers beneficial. carded criss-cross.
The tiles produced in this way are then exposed to the action of a tanning liquor for about 6 to 24 hours, depending on the processed density, which prevents the fibers from later swelling due to water. After removing the flow from the

freed the substance and then carefully dried in a lukewarm air bath. In order to give the fibers their original flexible resilience and to prevent them from becoming brittle and brittle as a result of the tanning process, the tiles are advantageously treated in a thin alumina soap solution before drying.
The flow prepared in this way is now well warmed up, which loosens it up and makes it suitable for abundant absorption of thick liquids.
The viscous masses I to III, the production of which has been described above, are then alternately introduced into the preheated flow until it is completely saturated, i.e. first mass I, then mass II and finally mass III. This alternating treatment of the fleece is continued until it is so saturated with the thick liquids that it has reached a predetermined total weight after the last drying. This shows that E. 3cugnis has the desired quality according to its purpose.
