   Die vorliegende Erfindung einer Stahlschlagnase für Crightonöffner besteht aus einem schmalen, etwa 5 mm starken Stahlblechstück, welches ungefähr bis zur Hälfte in zwei Teile (a, b) längsgespalten ist   (Fig.   1), wovon der eine Teil nach oben, der andere nach unten abgebogen ist (Fig. 2) ; an der der Spaltung entgegengesetzten Seite befinden sich Löcher zwecks Befestigung der Schlagnase mit Nieten an der Maschine
Die Schlagnase des   Crightonöffnors   haben den Zweck, die Baumwolle zu öffnen, aus derselben alle Fremdkörper, wie Kapselschalen, Samenkörner etc. zu entfernen und sie von jedem Schmutz zu reinigen. Dieser Zweck wird durch die Stahischlagnase nach vorliegender Erfindung in vorzüglicher Weise erreicht, ohne den Stapel der Baumwolle anzugreifen oder zu beschädigen. 



   Zum öffnen der Baumwolle werden vielfach eigene Schlagmaschinen verwendet, durch die aber die Baumwolle bei der Bearbeitung einigen Schaden erleidet. Diese Schlagmaschinen worden durch Crightonöffner mit den beschriebenen   Stahlschlagnasen überflüssig,   was einen grossen Vorteil für die Fabrikation bedeutet.

   The present invention of a steel impact nose for Crighton openers consists of a narrow, approximately 5 mm thick piece of sheet steel, which is roughly split in half into two parts (a, b) longitudinally (Fig. 1), one part upwards and the other downwards is bent (Fig. 2); on the opposite side of the split there are holes for attaching the punch to the machine with rivets
The purpose of the striking nose of the Crighton opener is to open the cotton, to remove all foreign bodies from it, such as capsule shells, seeds, etc., and to clean them from any dirt. This purpose is achieved by the steel nose according to the present invention in an excellent manner without attacking or damaging the pile of cotton.



   To open the cotton, own beating machines are often used, but the cotton suffers some damage during processing. Crighton openers with the steel impact lugs described above have made these impact machines superfluous, which is a great advantage for production.
