The rollers 13, 16 and J are driven by the roller 5 by means of a toothed gear 44, 42, 43, the wheel 44 being keyed onto the shaft of the roller 5 (FIGS. 2 and 3). At the opposite end of this shaft there is a gear 45 which is connected by means of the gear mechanism 46, 47, 48

The regulated movement is transmitted through the axis 57 to a thumb 63 by means of a gearwheel 64, which sits on the axis 57, and a gearwheel 65, which sits on the axis of the thumb 63. A lever 66, which is provided with a toothed sector 67

A toothed wheel 84 with teeth of a particular shape, which is shown in Fig. 3, sits on the wire J7. Every minute it rotates around a tooth and hits a lever 85 which is rotatably arranged in 86. If the minute has passed, the lever comes to a stop at the top of the tooth, but immediately falls back into the next tooth gap. The other end of it describes an arc of a circle. At this end there is a pin 87 which holds the lever 89, which is pulled to the left by the counterweight 90. The counterweight sits on the axle 91, on which the lever 89 also sits. On this axle 91 there is also a lever 92, at the end of which a pawl 93 is articulated, the end of which is toothed like a sag. The tooth engages in the pin 95, which is seated on the lever 96 (FIGS. 5 to 8).
The stop arm 96 sits on the axle 97 and is pulled to the left by a counterweight 98 (FIG. 6). The stop arm 96 comes into contact with the stop pin 99, which is seated on the gear 100. which in turn is arranged with the gear 102 on the axis 101 (Fig. 5).
The gearwheel 102 meshes with the gearwheel 103, on the axis of which a gearwheel 104 is keyed which meshes with the gearwheel: 14. This is used to determine the drive device of the rollers that carry the advertising tape. The gear 100 is connected to a regulator 122 (FIGS. 3 and 5). The duration of the path of the belts is determined by the changeable slope of the rake 105 (Fig. 6), which is on the single tooth of a gear 106,
EMI2.3
seated on the axis 97 of the lever 96, held.
The path of the rake 105 can be increased or decreased by means of the lever 109.
This lever. M9 is rotatably arranged in 110 and a stop 111 is provided at one end thereof, which locks the lever 105a. This lever is rotatably arranged in the opposite place as the lever 109 (Figure 3). If the bent end 112 of the lever 109 is brought into engagement with one of the teeth of the fixed sector 113 on the stand (FIGS. 3 and 4), the lever 105a can travel a greater or lesser distance, depending on the end Jf- in engagement with one
EMI2.4
The device works as follows:
After the counterweights have been wound up, they act on the devices connected to them, namely the counterweight 53 causes the rotation of the minute hands.
F, FI and the discs 79 on which the hour digits are provided while the counterweights 40 and 50 move the advertising tapes.
The shaft 57 is driven by the drum D, the movement of which is controlled by the controller 61, and rotates the thumb disk 63, the lever 66 being at the bottom of the thumb at the beginning of the hour and the gear ratio being calculated so that the thumb disk is a complete rotation in one hour. When turning the thumb disk acts on the lever 66, which by means of the toothed sector 67 drives the gear 69, which sits on the axis (i of the minute hand.) The path of the sector 67 is regulated in such a way that the effect of the entire sector consists in to bring the pointer F from 0 to 60, i.e. to make a half turn.
At the end of the hour, the lever 66 is on the upper part of the thumb disc, which releases the lever exactly in the 60th minute, whereupon it then falls back down onto the thumb disc. This movement has the consequence that the toothed sector 67 suddenly describes an opposite path, under the action of the counterweight 70, by means of the

of the gear (Fig. 3) and describes around its pivot? an arc in the opposite sense of that which was covered during the course of the minute.
The effect of this movement is that the pin 87 releases the arm 89 so that the counterweight 90 can move the rod 92 and the lever 93 and consequently the pin 95 which is in engagement with the tooth 94. The pin 95, which sits on the stop arm 96, in turn exposes the tip of the latter, which held the stop pin 99, which is attached to the wheel 100 (FIG. 8), and prevented it from rotating. So that the
EMI3.3
intended. To. At the same time, the lever 108, the end J07 of which holds the toothed rake 105, releases the latter and the lever arm 105a falls and is held by the stop 111 of the lever 109 (FIG. 3). This lever is used to regulate the stroke, as already described above.
Since the rake 105 is no longer wedged against the tooth 106 which, like the gear wheel IOQ, is connected to the drive mechanism of the rollers that carry the advertising tape, this wheel as well as the whole mechanism can rotate.
To prevent tooth 94 from re-engaging pin 95 and locking the device ahead of time, a pin 114 (FIGS. 6 to 8) is provided which sits on one of the arms of wheel 100 and lifts rod 93 when it rotates and thus prevents the intervention.
As the advertising tapes A and B move, the rake 105 rises, the teeth of which mesh with the single toothed wheel 106, until that tooth engages the lower end of the rake. During this path, the end 107 of the lever 108 strikes against the other equally toothed side of the rake 105 and only at the end of the stroke does the rake stand still when the tooth 106 can no longer act on it and the end 107 through the action of the counterweight 98 (Figs. 5 and 6) is established. so that
EMI3.4
position back, fixes the pin 99 of the gear 100 and prevents it from rotating until the next minute has started.
As already described, the advertising tapes are. 4 and B passed over rollers 5-15 and 16-24. One or more rollers which are not used to drive the advertising tapes, such as 11 and 22 e.g. B., are, as can be seen from Fig. 2, arranged on a device which allows the distance that separates them from the other roles to change depending on the change in the length of the advertising tape, so that they are always stretched enough straS to to be taken by the roles. This control device advantageously consists of a screw 117 with a head 118 which is arranged on the stand 119 in a support 120 provided with a thread. This support is adjustable along the screw by turning the screw by means of the head 118.
The support 120 is provided with two arms 121 which serve as bearings for the bearing journals of the axles of the respective rollers 11 and 22. These rollers have the same device at both ends and it is sufficient to turn the head 118 of the screw in one direction or another to raise or lower the rollers. If you want
EMI3.5
which pass in front of the openings 1 of the housing 1, a special advertising tape can be fed without end over the rollers 5, 6, 7, 15 and 5 of the first series and another similar tape over the corresponding rollers of the other series.
Special advertisements for the dials are placed on these two auxiliary advertising strips. The tape A then goes around the rolls 13, 72, 11, 10, 9, S, 14, 13 and the tape B around corresponding rolls of the other series.
