Fbsohnverschlusskap

Fbsohn closure cap
The present invention relates to such bottle closures, which in a known manner consist of a capsule made of metal or the like, the side parts of which are pressed into a groove on the outside of the bottle neck. The aim of the invention is to achieve a better seal for filled bottles than could be achieved with the previously known bottle closures of this type. The new design consists in the fact that the sealing material, which consists of parchment, paper or the like, extends over the entire inner surface of the capsule and, together with this, is pressed into grooves or the like on the bottle neck, whereby the capsule on the Bottle is held.
As a result of this arrangement, a seal is produced both at the bottom of the bottle neck and along the outer edge of the bottle mouth or the bottle head. When the pressure in the bottle increases, a pull is exerted on the capsule in an upward direction and the part of the capsule pressed into the groove on the bottle neck acts on that part of the sealing material which is in the groove above the bent part of the capsule.
This part of the sealing material is therefore compressed and thus has a blocking effect, and the degree of sealing corresponds to the respective pressure in the bottle.
However, under the influence of the internal pressure in the bottle, the upper surface of the capsule also has a tendency to bulge upwards, and because the cylindrical part of the capsule is held in place by being pushed into the groove on the bottle neck, the capsule material becomes Pulled taut over the outer rounded edge of the bottle head. The sealing material located at this point is therefore also compressed and has a sealing effect.
The degree of sealing at this point also increases with the pressure in the bottle. This latter seal serves primarily to prevent the liquid from entering between the cylindrical part of the capsule and the bottle, as can easily be done with those capsule closures in which the sealing material extends only over the part of the capsule engaging in the groove . If there is a possibility that the liquid seeps through here, this can easily give rise to the generation of mold, which then reduces the shelf life of the liquid, if this z. B. Beer, can be reduced very much.
The invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the drawing, which shows a section through the neck of a bottle provided with a bottle stopper of the new type.
The capsule a is held on the bottle by being pressed into a groove c provided on the neck or head b of the bottle. The sealing material d, which consists of parchment, paper or a similar material, extends over the entire inner surface of the capsule, so it is present both in the groove c and at the transition f from the cylindrical to the flat part of the capsule, where the same, when the uppermost, flat part of the capsule arches upwards, respectively on the outer, rounded edge of the bottle mouth. the bottle head seals.
