the mandrel 15 is withdrawn from the crank 8, while the thumb. 39 holds the jaws 68. 69 closed. Since the slide 24 with the spring 22 now remains in its front position as a result of the retention of the projection 23 by the angle 76 and the wire tensioner moves to the left, the state shown in FIG. The finished wire screw is held in place by the slide 24 until the mandrel has returned through the wire screw. The automatic accommodation of the wire under the gripper hook 29 is done at the same time that the previously formed

As soon as the thumb 39 leaves the projection 70, the jaws ô8, 69; the angle 76 gives the
Slide 24 free, which is withdrawn by the spring 22 and in turn releases the wire after it has been rounded.
The loop created according to FIG. 12 shows an excessive bend, and it is therefore. As shown in FIG. 1, a device is connected to the wire tensioner 42 for the purpose of compensating for the excessive bending of the wire. This is achieved in that the end pin 45 of the push rod 44 engages in an angled slot 75 of the wire tensioner 42, which is rotatable about a bolt 67. The pin 45 is always pressed down by a spring 46.
A downwardly projecting stop pin 77 is also attached to the wire tensioner 42 on one side and a stop surface 47 on the other side, which comes to a stop with a bolt under the pressure of a spring 78.
