Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Spezialstahlsorten für Panzerplatten und dergl.
 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 EMI2.1

 EMI1.1

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 EMI2.1
 To cause projectiles to crash, but without being split by the impact. Even when firing with cap bullets, as is the case at present in the navy of all states, neither cracks nor scales come off.

    Since the specified alloys combine homogeneity with great strength, they are capable of numerous other uses besides the production of armor plates.
 EMI2.2

PATENT. EXPECTATIONS :
1.Special steel for armor plates and the like, containing 3 to 5% nickel, 0 # 5 to 1'5% chromium and 1 to 3% tungsten or 0'5 to 1'5% molybdenum or both tungsten and molybdenum in these proportions, characterized in that it contains 0 # 3 to 0 # 5% carbon and less than 0'35% manganese.

   2. Special steel for armor plates and the like. Containing 0.3 to 0.5% carbon, 3 to 5% nickel and 0.2 to 0.5% vanadium, characterized by a value between 0 5% and 15 O-G content of chromium and a manganese content of less than 0 * 35%.

Claims (1)

3. Special steel according to claim 2, characterized by a further addition of 0 # 5 to 1 # 5% molybdenum or from 1 to 3% tungsten in addition to 0 # 5 to 1 # 5% molybdenum.
