Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Process for the recovery of the waste water from diffusion.
Methods are claimed in Patent No. 34799 and Patent Amendment No. 39183. which consist in the fact that the fine pulp particles not caught by pulp catchers from

Rinsing done by settling.
From the attached scheme. FIG. 1 shows how the known methods work. The drainage water exiting from diffusers 1, 2, 3 and 4 flows over the

returned. This operation is common to the processes according to patent no. 34799, supplementary patent no. 39183 and the present process.
EMI1.3

a smaller amount of liquid, but not in an open collecting vessel in front of the diffusion water pump 8, but in a closed primary clarification vessel 20 behind the pump connected to the pressure line.
The water is absorbed through pipe 15 by the diffusion water purope 8 and in
EMI2.1
container, and it can easily be withdrawn into the actual Ktärgefäß without using a special pump.
The advantages of this way of working are as follows:
1. The waste water or diffusion liquids remain exposed to the air for a shorter time than in the process of the additional patent no. 39183 and outside the dinusion battery.
The possibility of decomposition is therefore avoided with even greater certainty.
2. The quantity of the finest pulp particles which get back into the diffusion in order to aggregate there and become settable is reduced, and therefore the flow of juice in the battery is maintained with even greater certainty at the usual rapidity.
EMI2.2
can be done in smaller clarification vessels.
Any clarifier manufactured in a closed manner can serve as a primary clarifier. The device is also suitable for capturing the finest pulp particles in the event that they are to be removed from the waste water and recovered without the waste water being returned to the battery.
