Description

Method of carrying objects through baths.

The subject of the present invention is a novel method to mechanically place plates, rods or similarly shaped objects through baths of any kind, such as. B. to carry out cleaning, pickling or metal baths, which essentially consists in the fact that three or more wires, cords or tapes removed from suitably stored coils are passed through the bath concerned and the objects to be subjected to the influence of the bath one behind the other in the sense of a normal shot can be inserted between the wires, cords etc. before the latter get into the bath.

In Fig. 1 and 2 of the drawing below, a device used to carry out the method is shown schematically in view and plan view.

The wires or cords m, which are used as specimen carriers when passing through the bath, are pulled off from appropriately mounted coils or rollers n and in a suitable manner in two Weber chains. Chairs with moving shafts p q taken.

In the compartment formed by means of the shafts p, q the plates, rods or similarly shaped objects w to be transported through the bath are inserted, respectively. after inserting an object a shaft movement is performed.

The band, which has been formed in this way with the aid of the slide from the objects to be treated, is fed to the bath in question via suitable rollers.

Wires are particularly suitable for carrying out the method, since they only touch the objects they hold because of their stiffness and their round cross-section, which is not subject to flattening, and accordingly the bathing liquid, respectively. enable the liquid metal to access the areas they cover.

In the baths themselves, suitable guide rollers are installed in order to ensure that the tape made up of the individual objects is guided without complaint.
