Flexible board that can be rolled up, in particular for bandage purposes.

The subject of the invention is a flexible wooden board which, due to its flexibility and because it can be rolled up, can be used for a wide variety of purposes. In the well-known, flexible Drettchen, narrow wooden strips were glued close together on linen, etc. The cohesion is only created by the linen base. In another production method, the individual Took strips are connected to one another by cords or metal strips. These common, flexible boards have the disadvantage that they can only be rolled up on one side and have too little cohesion in several directions.

The purpose of the present invention is to circumvent these disadvantages, as a result of which new properties are given to the new flexible board. who use it for other purposes. ar makes. Thus, the new board forms a very suitable means for bandaging knocbenbrücben etc., for which the previously common boards were not suitable because of their structure either because of too great a rigidity or too little cohesion
Fig. 1 of the drawing shows the flexible board in cross section and Fig. 2 in df'r plan.

The flexible board is manufactured in such a way that a board of suitable wood is laid out on a suitable base a such as linen etc. Using suitable machines, grooves b are planed or locked into this board in such a way that the grooves b remaining rods c are not completely separated, but are united by a thin layer of wood e. A thin layer of wood is flexible enough to roll up the board, but it gives the whole thing sufficient cohesion to prevent the bars from shifting due to forces acting across or lengthways.

Has the wood been made impervious to moisture by suitable preparation?
