   An die   Gewebespann-und irockenmascmnen,   sowie an die Mercerisiermaschinen mit in senkrechten Ebenen umlaufenden Ketten werden in der Praxis immer grössere Anforderungen in Bezug auf Leistungsfähigkeit und Reckvermögen gestellt und kommen hierbei die Kette und deren Führungsbahnen als Hauptfaktoren in Betracht, denn deren Konstruktion und Unterhaltung steht nicht nur im ursächlichen Zusammenhang mit dem vorzeitigen Verschleiss der Maschine, sondern es treten auch grosse Kraftverluste auf, wenn die Kette und deren Führungsbahnen nicht zweckentsprechend konstruiert und unterhalten werden. 



   Eie Vervollkommnung auf diesem Gebiete bildet der Gegenstand vorliegender Er-   windung,   und zwar liegt die Neuheit in der Zugänglichkeit des Kanales b, welcher die am stärksten beanspruchten vertikalen   Reibungsflächen   c, c enthält, ohne dass sich, wie dies bei den bisher   gebräuchlichen   Ausführungen der Fall ist, ein Herausnehmen der Kette e oder Demontage der einen oder beiden   Führungsschienen   d, d nötig macht.

   Die Verschlussplatte a, welche aus Holz, Eisen oder Glas verfertigt und durch Wirbel oder Riegel den   Kanal b luftdicht   abschliesst, lässt sich mühelos und ohne Betriebsstörung entfernen, wodurch die Reibungsflächen c, c dem Auge zwecks Kontrolle auf Schmierung und Abnutzung sichtbar sind. f stellt ein Schmiergefäss dar.
