Schweissband für Kopfbedeckungen.
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf Schweissbänder für Hüte oder andere Kopfbedeckungen und besteht in der Verwendung von Gummischwamm in Form von keilförmigen Kissen, die in entsprechenden Ausnehmungen, Taschen oder Vertiefungen des gewöhnlichen Lederbandes sitzen.
Auf der Zeichnung ist das neue Schweissband dargestellt, und zwar zeigt Fig. 1 ein Stück desselben in Vorderansicht, Fig. 2 in Rückansicht, Fig. 3 ist ein Schnitt nach Linie 3-3 von Fig. !, Fig. 4 ist ein Schnitt nach Linie 4-4 von Fig. 1, Fig. 5 ist ein Schnitt nach Linie 5-5 von Fig. 1. Fig. 6 und 7 zeigen eine andere Ausführungsform, Fig. 8 ist ein Schnitt nach Linie 8-8 von Fig. 7.
Die Fig. 3, 4, 5 und 8 sind in grösseren Massstabe wie die übrigen Figuren dargestellt.
In den Fig. 1 bis 5 sitzen 3 Kissen baus Gnmmischwamm an dem Leder-oder dgl.
Band a und haben wie Fig. 4 erkennen lässt, eine keilförmige Form ; sie sitzen in entsprechend geformten Taschen c, die in das Lederband eingepresst sind. Die auch als Gummischwamm hergestellten Kissen d sind an den Seiten des Bandes a befestigt ; an diesen Stellen ist das Band ausgeschnitten, wie bei e gezeichnet, um die Schwammfläche austreten zu lassen. Dadurch, dass die Schwammkissen keilförmige Form haben. passt sich das Band völlig dem Kopfe des Tragers an, ohne dass es nötig wäre, den Hut grösser zu gestalten.
Wenn man die Taschen o anwendet, bilden sich Lufträume/zwischen denselben, wie aus den Fig. l, 2 und 5 ersichtlich ist.
Bei dem Schweissband nach Fig. 6,7 und 8 ist das Leder-oder dgl. Band a gebogen, so dass eine schräge Auflagefl1iche 9 für die einzelnen Gummikissen sich bildet.
Dies lässt sich vorteilhaft an der Vordernäche des Bandes bei 91 und an den Seiten bei h anbringen, wobei man in dem Vorderteil Perforationen i vorsehen kann, die Ventilationszwecken dienen (Fig. 6).
Ein ganz aus Gummischwamm hergestelltes Schweissband oder ein solches aus Leder und Gummischwamm bietet eine Reihe von Vorteilen. Es ermöglicht z. B., dass der Hut fest auf dem Kopfe des Trägers sitzt, ohne zu drücken. Ferner verliert das Band infolge der Eigenschaften des Gummischwammes nichts an seiner Elastizität, wie dies bei anderen Stoffen schon nach kurzer Zeit der Fall ist.

Sweat band for headgear.
The present invention relates to sweat bands for hats or other headgear and consists in the use of rubber sponges in the form of wedge-shaped cushions which sit in corresponding recesses, pockets or depressions in the ordinary leather band.
In the drawing, the new sweat band is shown, namely Fig. 1 shows a piece of the same in front view, Fig. 2 in rear view, Fig. 3 is a section along line 3-3 of Fig. 1, Fig. 4 is a section along Line 4-4 of Fig. 1, Fig. 5 is a section along line 5-5 of Fig. 1. Figs. 6 and 7 show another embodiment, Fig. 8 is a section along line 8-8 of Fig. 7 .

In FIGS. 1 to 5, 3 cushions of synthetic rubber sponge sit on the leather or the like.
Band a and, as shown in FIG. 4, have a wedge-shaped shape; they sit in appropriately shaped pockets c which are pressed into the leather strap. The cushions d, also made as a rubber sponge, are attached to the sides of the belt a; the tape is cut out at these points, as shown at e, to allow the sponge surface to emerge. Because the sponge pads have a wedge-shaped shape. the band adapts itself completely to the head of the wearer without the need to make the hat larger.
When the pockets o are used, air spaces / are formed between them, as can be seen from FIGS. 1, 2 and 5.
In the sweat band according to FIGS. 6, 7 and 8, the leather or the like band a is bent so that an inclined support surface 9 is formed for the individual rubber cushions.
This can advantageously be attached to the front surface of the band at 91 and to the sides at h, it being possible to provide perforations i in the front part for ventilation purposes (FIG. 6).
A sweatband made entirely of rubber sponge or one made of leather and rubber sponge offers a number of advantages. It enables z. B. that the hat sits firmly on the head of the wearer without pressing. Furthermore, due to the properties of the rubber sponge, the tape does not lose any of its elasticity, as is the case with other fabrics after a short time.
