<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

The invention relates to a new running and jumping shoe with a preferably articulated shaft made of a rigid, stiff or stiffened material, with side flanks extending from the heel zone on both sides to the front of the shoe, each with ankle zones with a joint, side flanks, a shoe front made of soft or flexible Material, a partially stiffened shoe sole and one when the shoe is loaded or treads on
EMI1.1
extending spring struts formed in the relaxed state up to a respectively predetermined or predeterminable distance on the underside and protruding in the tensioned state essentially at least up to the sole level and developing restoring force upon occurrence or opening.
It should be noted that e.g. B. jumping shoes, with which jumping movements can be carried out, have long been known. In a known embodiment, a spring arrangement is attached to the underside of the shoe sole, which consists of a hollow body, of which at least the lower boundary wall forming the tread surface is arched outward in the unloaded state and thus acts as a spring.
In other known jumping shoes, a separate tread part is fastened to the sole of the shoe, which itself consists of a resilient material, for example a leaf spring material, which is pretensioned when the jumping shoe is loaded. The disadvantage of these known jumping shoes is that the effective spring force is low, since it depends on the material of the tread part and cannot be made arbitrarily large, and above all this effective spring force does not change and is not adapted to the weight of the person using the jumping shoe can be.
Another major disadvantage of known jumping shoes is that the shoe upper has approximately the same strength everywhere. In order for the foot of the user of the jumping shoe to be supported in the required manner and secured against injury when jumping and thus to ensure that the tread part is properly anchored to the shoe upper or to the sole of the shoe connected to this shoe upper, the shoe upper must be made of a rigid material. However, this rigid material prevents the shoe from bending around the ball area. However, such a turn is necessary for the person wearing the shoe to make a long jump.
In another embodiment known from DE 70 00 377.9 U, a spring arrangement is attached to the entire sole underside of a spring shoe, which consists of two parts that can be telescoped against the force of a compression spring perpendicularly to the sole of the shoe, the compression spring being interchangeable with the Adjust spring force to your body weight.
A particular disadvantage of this last-described embodiment is that the entire sole of the jumping shoe has to be adapted to support the telescopic mechanism, and that the very differentiated requirements placed on the sole of a modern running and jumping shoe, in particular for flexible flexibility Jumping, jumping up and rolling movement of the foot correspondingly reacting sole front part can not be fully met. In addition, the spring travel of such a telescopic arrangement attached to the sole is relatively short, and the characteristic of a spring does not always correspond to the optimal conditions when the jump pressure is absorbed and cushioned, and in particular when it springs back to initiate the next step or jump immediately following the occurrence or jump ,
As far as the prior art DE 27 01 894 A1 is concerned, it does not have a jump and running shoe as its subject, but one or two spring struts each running to the side of the respective athletic shoe with a distal connecting bridge or plate-independent, step-and-jump device independent of the shoe, which in the case of its design with linear spring struts not at all, i.e. neither with a flexible band, nor with a strap or the like.
Fastening element, is bound to any ankle-covering shoe, but by means of two spaced-apart cuffs, bands, cuffs or the like on the lower leg of the shoe wearer - in each case above the upper
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Shoe edge and can be attached below the knee of the athlete.
From DE 27 01 894 A1, only a running and jumping element based on two spring struts connected to one another on the ground contact side has become known as such without being bound to a shoe.
Accordingly, the physiological, mechanical and technical conditions are completely different than in the case of a spring strut running and jumping element of a shoe equipped and connected with such a shoe: With such a shoe, the forces occurring during running and jumping are not within the elongated range Area of the entire lower leg of the athlete and distribute, but only in and from the two side flank areas of the shoe and thus only in and around the ankle area of the athlete's leg.
It has now been found that in order to remedy the disadvantages mentioned for a jumping shoe according to DE 70 00 377.9 U mentioned above, a construction in which the anchoring of the telescopic suspension is shifted upward away from the sole of the shoe meets the natural requirements the physiology of the leg muscles during running and jumping can be taken into account to a much greater extent than with the previously known design and that additionally an inclined position of the spring struts relative to the sole extension has a particularly favorable effect on reducing the fatigue of the legs.
The object of the invention is thus a new running and / or jumping shoe of the type mentioned at the outset, the essential features of which are that - the tread or jumping element of the shoe with in or on each of the two side flanks (material) integrated, at least in singular form, when it occurs or
A spring strut which develops a progressively increasing restoring force is formed, the spring struts material-integrated on or in the two side flanks of the shoe being essentially parallel to one another or their longitudinal axes to the sole of the shoe at an angle in the range from -85 to -650 , particularly preferably in the range of -70 2, 5 ", in
Levels are arranged substantially parallel to a center plane of the shoe from the sole towards the upper and inclined backwards.
The anchoring or integration of the spring struts or of their non-moving parts on both sides of the shoe upper itself, which is provided according to the invention, corresponds much better to the physiological conditions when running, walking and jumping than the type of sole anchoring of the telescopic springs known from the prior art. The new type of anchoring, as detailed tests under various running, jumping and surface conditions have shown, leads to a significant reduction in fatigue, not only of the foot and ankle area, but of the entire leg muscles down to the hip and Spine area.
In addition, it also enables a considerable increase in the running and jumping performance itself, partly due to the longer spring travel.
As far as the new characteristic of the "inclined position" of the spring struts is concerned, on the one hand it causes a much lower load on the shoe, which increases its lifespan, and on the other hand this noticeably further reduces the risk of fatigue in the athlete's legs and improves their endurance and performance yourself. It was also found that the new design also reduced the risk of injury.
A rather simple embodiment of the new stepping and jumping element for a jumping shoe consists in the arrangement of a spring strut, as mentioned above, on the right and left on the side flanks of the shoe, which type is the basic form of the present invention. More complex, but increasing the mechanical stability of the construction and its robustness in rough sporting operations, as well as enabling the use of more delicate spring struts, is a construction of the new tread and jump element with spring struts bound to each of the two side flanks of the shoe.
Significant advantages, in particular with regard to minimizing the stress and strain on the foot and leg muscles themselves and the ankle areas after long-term running and jumping performance and in terms of reducing unwanted fatigue, surprisingly found that arranging the spring struts according to position " in front of the ankle "of the foot of the user or athlete, which emerges in detail from claim 3 and a
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
represents a particularly preferred embodiment thereof in the sense of the invention.
In particular with regard to a secure, correct fitting of the foot or spring struts of the new jumping shoe on the respective surface, but not least also for the robustness and mechanical stability of the two-sided lateral connection and anchoring of the spring struts to the shoe, which is essential to the invention transversely to the sole of the shoe under her crossing, connecting the two free ends of the spring struts, crossbar in an embodiment according to Ans 4 proved to be advantageous.
The natural rolling movement of the foot during running and jumping suitably corresponds to a "cambered" design on the underside of the above-described crossbar connecting the free ends of the spring struts.
A further advantage, in particular in the sense of a high degree of adaptability to the nature and topography of the running and jumping surface, is made possible by pivoting the said crossbar at the free ends of the spring struts.
If, as already briefly mentioned above, a total of four spring struts are provided per shoe, a construction variant according to claim 7 a) s has proven to be advantageous, in particular with regard to sure-footedness and jumping safety as well as the mechanics of the construction, each of which is a pair on each to connect the struts forming the side flanks of the shoe at their underside, free ends by means of an elongated stirrup - possibly articulated there.
If necessary, e.g. B. in order to bring about a stabilizing, trapezoidal spreading of the spring struts of the respective spring strut pairs, the aforementioned longitudinal bar connecting the two struts can be formed with two mutually displaceable or mutually displaceable parts, for which reference is made in detail to claim 8.
A particularly high mechanical robustness with simultaneous increased tread and jump and, in particular, also jump safety can result in a connecting plate connecting the free ends of all four spring struts of a shoe equipped therewith.
As far as preferred materials for the spring struts themselves are concerned, light metals such as aluminum and titanium alloys are particularly preferred, but also, for. B. with carbon fibers or the like, reinforced plastics or the like.
The longitudinal stirrups, transverse stirrups or connecting plates which are particularly stressed on their underside, in particular with regard to abrasion, are advantageously produced on the basis of the materials emerging from claim 10.
In order to impair the athlete's foot feeling even with full compression of the spring struts, e.g. B. to avoid a particularly violent jump, it is, as can be seen from claim 11, particularly favorable to provide in the sole of the jumping shoe a profile of the crossbar or the connecting plate correspondingly shaped recess, soften the bracket or the plate, if he or she is pressed down to the level of the sole, so that a continuous bottom surface is formed, so to speak.
Particularly with regard to the aesthetics of the shoe as well as minimizing the contamination of the mechanics and the risk of injury to the athlete on mechanical parts of the construction, a "closed", tubular telescopic construction according to claim 12 is preferred, with an integration of the cladding and guide tube for which, optionally hollow, that can be displaced into the shell of the shoe against the spring force, can be made in a particularly favorable manner in the manufacture of the shoe.
As far as the damping, spring energy storage and also the bounce characteristics are concerned, the use of gas pressure springs known per se in a wide variety of sectors of technology, as provided in accordance with claim 13, has proven particularly useful as spring struts, the additional advantage being given here, to be able to use commercially available, widely available and also inexpensive products.
A special design variant of the gas pressure spring strut with a valve which can be operated by the athlete according to claim 14 enables the resetting force of the spring strut to be individually adjusted to the weight of the user or athlete, to his current condition, to the selected type of jump, etc.
The installation of a damping spring in the upper end area of the guide tube of the gas pressure spring has been found to be advantageous for protecting the joints of the foot and leg of the user.

strive proven according to claim 15.
By pouring and / or foaming the gas pressure spring strut or from its guide tube into the shell of the shoe upper according to claim 16, an optionally extremely stressable connection and integration thereof can be made on and in the new running and / or jumping shoe or its Reach shaft.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing:
1 shows a first embodiment of the jumping shoe with two spring struts in an oblique view, FIG. 2 in the same way a second embodiment of the new jumping shoe with a total of four spring struts, FIG. 3 shows a sketch of a jumping shoe, which the in the description used term of the "shoe center plane" and Fig. 4 shows a section through one of the spring strut used in the shoe according to the invention based on a gas pressure spring.
In the running shoe 1 shown in FIG. 1 with a joint 212 on both sides in the ankle region having two parts 21, 22 having a shaft 2 with side flanks 25, 25 'extending from the rear heel zone on both sides to the front part 3 of the shoe, furthermore the mentioned front part 3 and finally that Shoe sole 4 is on both sides of the heel base part 22 - in each case on the side flanks 25, 25 '- an inclined backwards at an angle a of less than -900 relative to the course of the sole 4, forming the essential part of the tread and / or jump-off element 500 , Spring strut 5 with telescopic guide tubes 51 bound to the side flanks 25, 25 ′ of the shoe upper part 22 and bound into the struts 52 that are displaceable against the pressure of a filling gas and / or a spring.
21 designates the articulated part of the shoe upper 2, which has a leg-friendly, soft edge zone 211 towards the upper edge. The shoe upper part 22, which is articulated to the movable shoe upper part 21 via joints 212 in the ankle area, is made of a rigid material, preferably based on plastic, and merges with a flexible transition zone 32 into a foot-friendly, softer shoe front part 3 , On their top, both the shaft 2, as well as the shoe front 3, closing members 31, such as. B. buckles, clips, Velcro or the like. On.
The sole 4 also consists of a rather stiff or rigid sole back part 42 and a flexible sole front part 41. The spring strut 5 projects in the relaxed state at a distance as below the level sn of the sole 4. The longitudinal axes of the spring struts 5 are denoted by a1 and it is particularly advantageous within the scope of the invention if at least the position of these axes a1 is shifted forward by a distance ak in front of the ankle area or in front of the joint 212, that is to say seen from behind - second quarter of the shoe 1, is still arranged on the rigid shoe upper part 22 or on the side flanks 25, 25 '.
With the novel conception of the anchoring of the spring struts 5 on the side flanks 25, 25 ′ of the rigid shaft part 22 of the new running and / or jumping shoe 1 together with the previously discussed inclination position, angle CL, of these spring struts 5 backwards and with the Arrangement of the spring struts 5 or, in the case of four spring struts, of at least one of the two spring struts 5 on each side of the shoe 1, a particularly effective optimum of the properties of the running shoe 1 can be achieved.
1 further shows how the two free, lower ends 501 of the spring struts 5 are connected via joints 525 to a transverse (connection) bracket 56 which crosses the same under the shoe sole 4. In addition, it can also be seen how a recess 46 for the crossbar 56 is arranged on the sole 4 when, in the event of a violent jump, it is pushed up to or just above the shoe soles level sn.
The running or jumping surface 9 is also indicated schematically. The two curved extensions on the upper part of the guide tube 51 of the two spring struts 5 symbolize a compressed gas connection with one individually by the athlete on a, for. B. dependent on body weight adjustable gas pressure control valve 515.
The second embodiment of the jumping shoe 1 according to the invention shown in FIG. 2 has a total of four spring struts 5, each of which is joined to pairs 50 bound to its two side flanks 25, 25 ′, which are also arranged at an angle a of less than 900, inclined rearward and of which at least one of the springs or their axes al is arranged at a distance ak in front of the ankle joint 212. FIG. 2 is furthermore
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
it can be seen how a longitudinal bracket 55 is articulated in each case via a joint 525 to the free ends 501 of the struts 52 in the guide tubes 51 of the spring struts 5, which are movable in compression.
Said longitudinal bracket 55 is also formed with two bracket parts 551, 552 which are telescopically displaceable and lockable in position. In its place, however, a cambered bracket plate 556, which is articulated to all four struts 5, can also take place. All of the usual reference symbols appearing in FIG. 2 have the same meaning as the corresponding reference symbols of the previously explained FIG. 1.
With reference to the small sketch of FIG. 3, which shows a jumping shoe 1 according to the invention only schematically in an oblique view and only with the most important reference numerals, only the term "central plane" is to be explained. It is therefore a plane that cuts longitudinally approximately centrally along the shoe 1 and it is shown how the two pairs 50 of the spring struts 5 are arranged on the two side flanks 25, 25 ′ of the new running shoe 1 essentially parallel to the shoe center plane em.
Finally, FIG. 4 shows one of the gas pressure spring struts 5, which is preferably used in the shoe according to the invention and is used on the two side flanks of the shoe 1 or is integrated in the same, with a sleeve and guide tube 51, which as a non-movable part of the strut the shoe shell is connected or is poured and / or foamed into the same and is filled with a progressively compressible gas or compressed gas. At the top of the compression space 510 of the envelope. and guide tube 51 there is a valve 515 for adjusting the gas pressure, matched to the desired hardness when jumping, to the body weight of the user or the like.
Are with a running shoe, as from Flg. 2 emerges, two spring struts 5 arranged one behind the other, i.e. designed as pairs 50, can in each case open out from the gas spaces of the cladding and guide tubes 51 of the two spring struts 5, a short pressure-resistant gas line, which unite to form a tube which is a common valve for carries both spring struts. Similarly, if only a single spring strut 5 is provided on each side of the shoe, a gas pressure line can open out of its compressed gas space, which are also brought together again to form a common valve.
In the upper part of the compression space 510 of the cladding and guide tube 51, a compression spring 511 is additionally arranged here, which, in the event that the step or landing strut 52 with its guide piston 525 with O-ring seals 526 is particularly far into the guide tube 51 is shifted, its function as a damping element for a jump or the like.
It can also be seen how a joint 525 is arranged at the lower end 501 of the strut 52, to which the crossbar 56 is articulated, see in particular the previously explained FIG. 1. This crossbar 56 can also be formed with two telescopically displaceable and lockable bracket parts. The gas tightness between the wall of the guide tube 51 and the opening strut 52 is advantageously achieved with the guide piston 525 equipped with O-ring seals 526; Plastic guide sleeve 516.
Venting when the spring strut 5 is relieved can take place via vent openings 518 of the sleeve 51.
The spring strut 5 shown in FIG. 4 has a size in the drawing which corresponds approximately to the dimension of this spring strut in a real running and / or jumping shoe.
