EMI1.1
The present invention relates to resistance determination in an ungrounded converter system, in particular in a traction system of a vehicle, preferably a rail vehicle, consisting of at least two ungrounded partial current sensors with a voltage intermediate circuit and a ground fault detection device which has a high-resistance grounded intermediate circuit center and by means of which the low-frequency component causes a measurement voltage by means of leakage currents
EMI1.2
enable an energy exchange between the single-phase or multi-phase AC networks and are interconnected via an intermediate circuit.
Stands ! m Zwtschenkrets etne capacitor-assisted DC voltage, if one speaks of a voltage intermediate circuit, but if a well-smoothed DC current is impressed into the intermediate circuit, one speaks of a current intermediate circuit. Due to the modern semiconductor development with converter valves that can be switched off via control connections, converter systems have converter systems achieved a dominant meaning with an intermediate voltage circuit.
In addition to potential isolation from the single-phase or multi-phase AC networks, floating converter systems have at least two floating partial converters and an ungrounded DC link
A method of the type mentioned at the outset is known, for example, from US Pat. No. 3,754,221. A ground fault detector for detecting symmetrical and asymmetrical ground faults (fault currents) in non-earthed DC supply systems is disclosed with the aid of a controlled switching device. The method only aims at the detection of extremely high-resistance ground faults in "clean" DC networks from this sensitive
EMI1.3
! tea ! In a tract tone application, a non-earth voltage intermediate circuit, which forms the connection of partial current noises, is constantly disturbed due to capacitive leakage currents.
US 3,975,663 describes a short-circuit detection and localization in a stationary 2-wire battery supply system. As an alternative, based on the wires of the 2-wire supply, an additive alternating voltage is impressed for detecting the short-circuit and a local assignment of a short-circuit to a wire is carried out floating voltage intermediate circuit is to be expected.
Furthermore, US 3,699,392 describes a short-circuit detection in an ungrounded AC network. Detection and local assignment is carried out by feeding in a high-frequency AC voltage
In US 3,757,169 a highly sensitive monitoring device of an ungrounded 2-wire system is known for. B for an OP supply to "detect" a short to ground and a subsequent compensation "with an opposite current of the same size and phase. The device becomes active as soon as the pre-calculated impedance of each conductor to earth is not given. However, problems arise during converter operation .
Erdfrele converter systems with voltage intermediate circuits are used in modern auxiliary technology and especially in traffic engineering. The relatively more complex
EMI1.4
and reduced safety aspect will be continued for the time being and later the ground connection will be remedied.
Only a second short circuit can lead to a failure with serious consequences
With converter systems, particularly with traction systems in auxiliary technology, especially when used in a rail vehicle, it would make sense to record a detected short to ground in a large area of the electrical equipment. Furthermore, it would be advantageous to locate a short to ground that occurred in order to remedy such a short to ground to be able to carry out quickly.
It would also be important to know the ground fault resistance in order to be able to decide whether immediate repair is required or whether the electrical equipment can continue to be operated, in order to reduce the number of tents in traction systems
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a method for ground fault detection, localization and resistance determination which meets the above requirements.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
This solution should also be simple and inexpensive to implement and reliable
These tasks are solved on the basis of a method of the type mentioned at the outset in that the Ableeltstrom is recorded without and - if an alternating part of the low-frequency part of the Ableeltstromes recorded and this
Frequency corresponds to the frequency of the impressed third harmonic of the motor voltage, a short to ground in the motor area or in the area of the
Motor inverter output localized, and the ground fault resistance Rx is determined with the aid of a convolution integral, and - if a DC component of the low-frequency component of the Abeleltstrom is detected, a mass) tsm in the circuit, and,
if the DC component drops, clocking one
Brake actuator, a short to ground located at the root of the brake actuator, and the
Ground fault resistance Rx is calculated
With the solution according to the invention, simple and reliable ground fault detection and localization can now be carried out in a wide range of electrical equipment on the one hand, so that repairs can be carried out quickly if necessary, and on the other hand the ground fault resistance can be determined just as reliably in order to recognize the urgency of repairs and to report the downtimes of the electronic equipment, in particular the standstill of vehicles on the open route.
In an advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention, in the event that an alternating component of the low-frequency component of the leakage current is detected and this frequency corresponds to the frequency of a mains voltage, for example a synchronous generator, a ground fault in the network region, for. B Localized in the area of the synchronous generator, or in the area of the AC network, and the ground fault resistance Rx is determined with the help of a funnel integral. As a result, a short to ground in the area of the network connection can now also be recorded, localized and checked for its relevance.
In an alternative embodiment of the method according to the invention, the mean value of the low-frequency portion of the leakage currents is formed and, if this is zero, the rectifier mean value is determined, and, if this is not zero, a ground fault in the network area, e.g. in the area of the synchronous generator or in The area of the alternating mains circuit is localized and the ground fault resistance Rx is estimated. According to this alternative embodiment, a ground fault in the area of the grid connection can be detected and localized using simpler means, however the determination of the resistance and the associated statement about the relevance of the ground fault are less precise.
Non-limiting exemplary embodiments for the application of the method according to the invention are shown in the accompanying figures, in which FIG. 1 shows the structure of a mains-fed three-phase ungrounded converter system and in FIG. 2 a diesel-electric ungrounded converter system for the drive technology.
1 shows the known structure of a floating three-phase converter system 1 for drive technology. The system consists of two earth-free subcurrent units, namely a mains current unit 2 and a motor converter 3, which are connected in series via an (also) floating voltage intermediate circuit 4. The potential separation from the single-phase or multi-phase supply network takes place via a converter transformer 5.
The power required for the operation of the drive motor 6 is taken from the supply network, the braking energy can be fed back into the network, however, if the braking energy is not fed back, the mains current switch becomes a rectifier bridge. The braking energy is burned in a brake chopper (not shown)
2 shows a diesel-electric, ungrounded drive system for use in traffic engineering.
A diesel engine 7 drives a synchronous generator 8, which feeds into the voltage intermediate circuit 4 via a Glochrichter bridge 9. The motor inverter 3 is designed as a self-commutated current feeder in a three-phase bridge circuit in the exemplary embodiment shown. The braking energy is heated in the brake chopper 10.
This basic circuit diagram shows a possible circuit variant for ground fault detection. Of course, this can also be used in the system according to FIG. 1
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
2, the intermediate circuit center point Zm is connected to ground via a high-resistance resistor Rm. The device 11 of the earth-free converter system thus recognizes the short circuit to the ground via Abeleltstromen, which are measured as a voltage drop across the resistor RM, and reports this by means of a suitable device, e.g. B. via an ad.
(The operation of the vehicle will continue for the time being)
The method according to the invention is based on an analysis of the low-frequency measurement voltage UM across the resistor RM. which represents an image of the low-frequency leakage current. With this method, the detection, localization and determination of the resistance of a short to ground is possible
The device 11 provided for this purpose for detecting, localizing and calculating the resistance for a short to ground is usually integrated in a drive device (not shown) of the floating auxiliary system. The complex anti-slave control system, which is known per se, takes care of the entire auxiliary control system, including the machine and generator control including
Speed control, pulse pattern specification, brake controller clocking, etc. and, if necessary, provides variables for evaluating the low-frequency measurement voltage
The table below basically shows the possibilities and limits of a ground fault detection and its further processing in the anti-fog device, whereby the third column refers to the calculation basis for the ground fault resistance explained below

The ground-fault detection system 11 according to the invention serves not only for permanent ground-fault monitoring (online method) but also for localizing the ground-fault (local assignment) and for outputting the ground-fault resistance Rx,
