The invention relates to a wheel suspension for motor vehicles, in which the wheel carrier is guided via first link assemblies from single longitudinal links or double longitudinal links or diagonal links or transverse links on a subframe and are suspended via spring and shock absorber elements and the subframe supports the car body via a second link arrangement, so that the suspension of the Wheels and the support of the rolling motion of the car body are carried out separately from each other and when cornering, the wheels of one axle do not change camber or the outside wheel is negative and the inside wheel is positive camber compared to straight ahead.
State of the art in motor vehicles is that with non-active and independent wheel suspensions, the wheels of an axle when cornering incline in the same direction as the car body. The exception is the swing axle, where, when the center of gravity is above the very high Roli center, the outside wheel is negative and the inside wheel is positive camber. The disadvantages of the very high rolling center are big, such as: B. the climbing of the wheel suspension in sharp bends, the positive wheel on the outside of the bend and the negative wheel on the inside of the bend receiving a risk of rollover, so that this wheel suspension is hardly used anymore.
There are also efforts to make the car body turn when cornering, as in US 4,515,390 A (Greenberg), and to keep the vehicle's wheels as perpendicular to the road surface as possible, as the inventor points out. This is to be achieved by the car body rotating around an axis when cornering, which is mounted in the front and rear subchassis. The wheel suspensions listed are conventional and articulated to the sub-chassis. This patent therefore has nothing to do with the subject matter of the invention mentioned here.
US Pat. No. 3,181,883 A (Kolbe) mentions car bodies which curve outwards or inwards in the curve. This patent deals with elastic connecting links between the body and the wheel suspension, which better control the car inclination and thus the wheel suspension in curves. The wheel suspensions mentioned are state of the art. There is therefore no similarity to the subject matter of the invention.
The wheel suspension according to the invention achieves its properties in that the spring and shock absorber elements are supported against spring supports, in that the subframe consists of the spring supports and a connecting link, whereas the second link arrangement consists of two cranks and two articulations that the cranks on the inner The ends of the wheel carriers carry the car body, whereas the links on the outer ends of the wheel carriers carry the car body and the connecting link with the cranks and the spring supports at the inner ends is connected to joints which, in order to avoid a change in the fall of the wheels during cornering, lie on semicircles,
which each have the connection distance between the point of intersection of the tire vertical axis with the axis of the spring support and the rolling center of the subframe, the joints lying within the half-circle in order to achieve a positive camber change of the inside wheel or a negative camber change of the outside wheel.
Where the axles of the crank and linkage meet is the momentary pole of the wheel suspension. The rolling center around which the car body leans when cornering can be obtained by connecting the instantaneous pole of the wheel suspension with the center of the tire contact area on the road with a straight line and intersecting this straight line with the vertical axis of the car body.
In order to get a negative tendency to fall when cornering on the outside wheel and on the inside wheel a positive tendency to fall, the pivot point of the crank must be within a semicircle, which is established over the connecting distance from the rolling center of the car body and the intersection of the spring support axis with the center plane of the wheel plane. The axis of the spring support goes through the articulation points of the crank and linkage on the spring support. If zero camber is required during cornering, the pivot point of the crank on the spring bracket must lie on the semi-circular line.
In the following figures, the indices L and R stand for the left and right sides, the high numbers o for straight-ahead driving and rest, and a for cornering when the car body is inclined by the angle a.
Fig. 1 shows a wheel suspension according to the invention with double longitudinal links L 1 and L2, which guide the wheel carrier N, which are articulated on the spring support b of the subframe. The subframe consists of a, b, K and V. L 1 and L2 are supported by the spring and shock absorber element F on the spring support b at point E. The suspension could also be done via other spring elements such as torsion springs, gas springs, etc. The spring support b is articulated on the car body W with the aid of the link a and the crank K, which are articulated on the spring support. The right and left spring supports aL and aR are connected to the connecting member V, which can be rigid or resilient and shock-absorbing.
The car body W is supported by the spring and shock absorber elements SL and SR on the spring supports bL and bR.

Fig. 2 shows the same axis when cornering, when attacking a centrifugal force F in the center of gravity Sc. The car body W tilts around the rolizentrum RC and by means of the linkage consisting of spring supports bL and bR, cranks KL and KR, articulations aL and aR, as well as the connecting member V, the outside wheel negative and the inside wheel positive camber, since the articulation points of the cranks KL and KR lie within the semicircles HL and HR. The index a stands for the inclination of the car body by the angle a around the rolling center RC and the consequent positions of the wheel suspension elements.
3 shows a subframe wheel suspension according to the invention with single longitudinal links LR and LL, which guide the wheel carriers NR and NL, in basic and elevation. The wheels are suspended with the spring and shock absorber elements FL and FR. Support of the car body W on the subframe via the spring and shock absorber elements SL and SR, which are only shown in elevation. Cranks KL and KR, as well as links aL and aR, are designed, as shown in the plan, such that the spring supports bL and bR and thus the driving frame) are articulated longitudinally and laterally on the car body W.
