Claims (1)

Hiezu 1 Blatt Zeichnungen 2AT 403 088 B The invention relates to a device for heating a fluid according to the preamble of the claim. DE 27 33 552-A and US 41 89 294-A disclose catalytic burners with a reaction space which is filled with a bed of catalytically coated carrier material particles. The heat is removed in a conventional manner by means of heat exchangers which are spatially separated from the burner and through which the fluid to be heated flows. The main disadvantage is the strong heating of the catalyst, which can destroy its structure and thus the catalytic effect. The aim of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to propose a device of the type mentioned at the outset which is distinguished by a simple structure and in which an effective and simple removal of the heat is ensured. According to the invention, this is achieved in a device of the type mentioned at the outset by the characterizing features of the claim. In this way, the heat is dissipated very uniformly, the pipes being able to be laid in the bed at correspondingly short distances from one another, as a result of which overheating can also be reliably prevented in local areas. At the same time, a large-scale dissipation of heat is provided on the outside of the bed. Balls, Rasching rings or comparable fillers can be used to build up the fill, especially since they are used in large quantities in chemical process engineering, are readily available and are inexpensive. The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, which schematically shows a device according to the invention. The device according to the invention has a blower 1 which conveys air into a duct 3 which opens into a reactor space 14 via a diffuser 4. A gas line in which a solenoid valve 2 is arranged ends in this channel 3. A bed 6 of catalytically coated carrier particles, for example balls, Rasching rings or similar packing elements, is arranged in the reactor chamber 14. In this case, the reactor space 14 is delimited by a cylinder wall formed by a double jacket 5, the fluid to be heated flowing through the double jacket 5, which enters via a return line 16 and exits via a supply line 15. Furthermore, a pipe 7 is laid within the bed 6, which rests on a grid 8, and the fluid to be heated likewise flows through it parallel or in series to the double jacket 5. A heat exchanger 9, through which the same or another fluid to be heated flows, is arranged below the reactor space 14 and cools the exhaust gas heated by the heat of reaction. The exhaust gas can be cooled down to the dew point, an exhaust gas collector 10 being arranged below the heat exchanger 9 and a condensate collector with a siphon 11 below this. An electrical heater 12, which can be supplied by a voltage source 13, is arranged in the uppermost region of the bed 6. This stimulation 12 serves to achieve the minimum temperature required to initiate the reaction between the gas and the air when the device is started. 1. Device for heating a fluid by oxidation of fuel gas, in which a reaction chamber is filled with a bed of catalytically coated carrier material particles, wherein a reaction line with a gas-air mixture opens into the reaction chamber, characterized in that fluid to be heated in the bed (6) penetrating tubes (7) and that the wall of the reaction chamber (14) is designed in a conventional manner as a double jacket (5), which is also flowed through by the fluid to be heated.
