Abstract
The water-tube boiler possesses a flue-gas duct 2 connected to the furnace space and a DeNOx system, arranged therein, in the form of a catalyst 10 and also an NH3-injection device 9 for reducing the NOx fractions in the flue gas. A portion of the flue-gas duct 2, which is located upstream of the catalyst 10, as seen in the direction of flow of the flue gas, is subdivided into two flue-gas chambers 14, 15 parallel to one another in terms of flow. A heat exchanger 4, 5 is provided in each of the two flue-gas chambers 14, 15 used for operating the boiler. The passage cross section of each flue-gas chamber 14, 15 is variable. The throttle flaps 6, 7 assigned to the flue-gas chambers 14, 15 for this purpose are controlled by the temperature of the heat-transfer medium. The heat exchangers 4, 5 provided in the two flue- gas chambers 14, 15 have surfaces of different size and/or the cross sections of the two flue-gas chambers 14, 15 are of different size. <IMAGE>
