Abstreifvorrichtung für mit Querleisten besetzte Förderbänder.

herunterzuwerfen.

Stripping device for conveyor belts equipped with cross bars.
EMI1.1
to throw down. In the case of smooth conveyor belts, they are thrown off through skimmers which are arranged close to the belt and which, of course, cannot be used if the belt is filled with upright cross bars. Attempts have been made to cause discharge at any point in such belts by providing the belt with closable openings at short intervals, which can be opened by an appropriate stop device at adjustable points on the transport path; but in this way only a low level of operational reliability was obtained with a great complication of the construction of the conveyor belt.
The present invention solves the problem of stripping the load from conveyor belts that are provided with transverse strips in a simple manner, in the following way:
A relative movement is brought about between a scraper and the conveyor belt, which corresponds to that which would arise if the scraper were to move across the belt when the conveyor belt was at a standstill.
EMI1.2
is a diagram that illustrates the movement processes.
In Fig. 3, the line means the speed of the conveyor belt and the line V2
EMI1.3
represents in a direction perpendicular to the bath movement.
An endless traction element (belt or chain) is guided over two disks b and provided at suitable intervals with transverse strips c, which are slightly narrower than the distance between the transverse strips on the conveyor belt d. If the ratios are selected according to the speed diagram shown in FIG. 3, each point of the stripper beltea only has a relative movement perpendicular to the direction of movement of the conveyor belt, but there is no relative shift in the direction of movement of the conveyor belt. As a result, the cross bars c of the Abstreifbandea slide unhindered between the cross bars of the conveyor belt and can throw the conveyed goods lying on the conveyor belt laterally.
The drive of the stripping device occurs naturally so that the speed ratio between it and the conveyor belt remains the same at every belt speed, preferably directly from the conveyor belt; however, a special drive can also be used. Under certain circumstances, no actual drive of the scraper device is necessary at all, since the transverse strips of the conveyor belt can be designed in such a way that they set the scraper in motion.

is occupied and of course is arranged at the correct angle to the direction of movement of the belt.
PATENT. EXPECTATIONS :
1. Abstreifvorrichtnng for conveyor belts occupied with transverse strips, characterized in that one or more scrapers are arranged just above the conveyor belt, which is given such a speed obliquely to the direction of movement of the conveyor belt that a relative movement between the scrapers and the belt in the direction of movement of the belt cannot occur.
