Hiezu 1 Blatt Zeichnung -2-AT397 371B The invention relates to a rolling device for attachment to chair legs or the like, with a ball which is rotatably supported in a housing over a number of equally large running balls in a ball socket which is open at the bottom and is supported on the one hand on the floor and on the other hand on the bearing balls , which can be blocked to prevent a slight displacement of the chair leg or the like. Devices of this type are known in which a slide which is slidable in the axial direction of the chair leg or the like is provided for mounting the ball and against which a spring which bears in the direction of the floor rests. It is difficult to attach the known device to narrow chair legs because the slide and spring require too much space. Attempts have also been made to make chairs rollable when not under load by rotating a hollow ball on the chair legs, which deforms under load so that the chair leg rests on the floor. However, the practical implementation of this proposal is difficult because the internal pressure in the hollow sphere is very difficult to maintain at the correct value. The stress on such a hollow sphere is also relatively high and therefore only a very short service life can be expected. The invention has set itself the goal of creating a device that can be easily attached to thin chair legs or the like, practically does not change the appearance of the leg and still allows a roll in the unloaded state, a firm sitting in the loaded state This is, starting from a rolling device of the type mentioned above, that the ball, which can be blocked in a known manner by deformation, is made of polyurethane with a hardness of 90 x 95 Shore-A, that the bearing housing is preferably made of polyacetal and the bearing balls are made in particular of stainless steel consist. As numerous tests have shown, a ball made of polyurethane with a Shore hardness in the specified range is compressed under load so that it is blocked by the bearing housing. When relieving the chair or the like. The elasticity of the material is so great that the ball returns to its original shape and therefore easy rolling is possible again. The invention is described in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing, the drawing shows a longitudinal section through a device according to the invention. A bearing housing (1) comprises more than half of a full ball (2) made of polyurethane with a hardness between 90 and 95 Shore-A, so that the ball (2) cannot fall out of the bearing housing (1). On the upper side, the ball (2) is supported on bearing balls (3). These bearing balls (3) are mounted in a ball socket (4) forming part of the bearing housing (2), which at the same time gives the upper limit. An annular cavity (5) is provided between parts (1) and (2), which performs the task has the balls (3) as the large ball (2) rolls back to the opposite side. The parts (1) and (4) suitably consist of polyacetal, the bearing balls (3) are made of stainless steel. As indicated schematically in the drawing, the device can be inserted in a bore in a chair leg (6). In the drawing, the unloaded state of the chair leg is assumed, in which the ball (2) is supported undeformed on the floor (7). The chair can therefore easily be rolled over the floor in any direction, with the ball (2) on the bearing balls (3) rolls When the chair is loaded, the ball (2) is deformed so that it is prevented from rolling by the bearing housing (1). The chair itself is therefore also fixed. PATENT CLAIM Roll device for attachment to chair legs or the like, with a ball rotatably supported in a housing over a number of mutually equal-sized balls in a ball socket that is open at the bottom, supported on the one hand on the floor and on the other hand on the bearing balls, which easily shift the load Chair leg or the like can be blocked on the floor, characterized in that the ball (2) made of polyurethane with a hardness of 90 to 95 Shore-A, which can be blocked by deformation in a manner known per se, preferably consists of the bearing housing (1, 4) made of polyacetal and the bearing balls (3) in particular made of stainless steel.
