Description

Such elements are used to dampen natural vibrations of metallic surfaces, such as. B. to deaden large-area cladding made of aluminum or steel sheets. It is known that composite panels consisting of two panels with a high modulus of elasticity, which are connected with a viscoelastic layer, have good damping properties. The composite panels can be symmetrical with the same panel thickness, but also asymmetrical with different panels with a high modulus of elasticity. Based on this knowledge, coverings made of a viscoelastic damping layer were developed, which are covered with a thin metal foil and glued to metal sheets.
From DE-OS 29 43 071 a composite panel consisting of five layers is known for the anti-drumming of metal surfaces. It consists of a »- maximum 0.5 mm start metal foil, a maximum 5 mm start sound absorbing layer made of thermoplastic material, a maximum 10 mm start foam layer made of organic material, an adhesive layer and a separating foil. The plastic layer consists in particular of copolymers based on a vinyl ester and of copolymers of an acrylic acid ester. For example, a pressure-sensitive adhesive based on an acrylic acid ester, which is covered with siliconized paper, is used as the adhesive layer. Polystyrene foam is used as an organic foam layer. The composite panel is easy to process because it is self-adhesive and shows good adhesion to the metal surfaces to be deadened. It shows a pretty good damping behavior after installation. It is to be regarded as a disadvantage that the loss factor, measured in accordance with DIN 53 440, decreases considerably over time, ie. H. the damping behavior deteriorates over time. One reason for this may be the cold flow of the thermoplastic damping material, which can lead to recrystallization. In addition, the weather resistance (condensation test according to DIN 50017) is not sufficient for some applications in building construction.
The object of the invention is an improved anti-drumming element, which also has a five-layer structure, but does not have the disadvantages described.
This object is achieved in that the metal foil (1) is connected with the aid of a thermally crosslinking adhesive based on polyacrylic acid ester as a sound-absorbing plastic layer (2) up to 500 μm thick with the organic foam layer (3) made of extruded polystyrene of fire class B1 .
The adhesive preferably consists of a mixture of polyacrylic acid esters modified with synthetic resins and / or natural resins, which are dispersed in water and to which a polyisocyanate dissolved in toluene is added as a crosslinking agent. The sound-absorbing layer made of this adhesive is cross-linked after 4 to 5 days of storage at room temperature and can no longer be melted. However, it retains its adhesive force and its viscoelastic properties. The same adhesive can also be used for the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (4).
The anti-drumming element according to the invention is shown in section in the figure. It consists of a metal foil (1) up to 0.5 mm thick, preferably made of aluminum, a sound-absorbing layer (2) that starts at most 500 pm and is made of a thermally crosslinkable adhesive based on polyacrylic acid ester, an organic foam layer up to 10 mm thick (3 ) made of extruded polystyrene from BrandldasseBl, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (4) and a release film (5) made of a non-polar polymer, such as. B. polyethylene or paper, which is preferably siliconized.
The effectiveness of the element according to the invention is illustrated by the following example, without being restricted to it.
Beispiel:Example:
A 200 μm thick layer of a mixture of a commercially available aqueous dispersion of a polyacrylic acid ester mixture modified with natural resins and a likewise commercially available crosslinking agent consisting of an aromatic polyisocyanate dissolved in toluene is applied to a 0.1 mm thick aluminum foil and a siliconized paper. After the solvents have evaporated at about 60 ° C., a 3 mm thick foam layer made of extruded polystyrene of fire class B1 is laminated on one side with the adhesive-coated aluminum foil and on the other side with the adhesive-coated silicone paper. The deadening element produced in this way is glued to a 1 mm thick steel sheet after the silicone paper has been peeled off. A part of this plate is subjected to a condensation water test according to DIN50017 in a climatic chamber. After 120 hours there were no signs of detachment or separation of the individual layers. Another part of the loss factor is determined according to DIN 53440 at 20 ° C and 200 Hz. It is 0.28. In a third part, the loss factor is determined after storage at 20 ° C for 3 months. Compared to the loss factor on the non-stored element, it has only dropped to a value of 0.26. The change in the loss factor is so small that the damping behavior can be regarded as almost unchanged.
As a comparison, a composite panel made according to DE-OS 29 43 071 made of a 0.1 mm thick aluminum foil, a 200 pm start damping layer made of modified polyvinyl acetate and a 3 mm thick -2-
