Die Erfindung betrifft eine Löschvorrichtung für Petroleum-o. dgl. Lampen, bei welcher zweckmässig halbringförmige, zum Dochtrohr konzentrische Dochtkappen mittels geeigneter Bewegungsarmc an einem Ring befestigt sind, der auf das meistens konische Dot-utiuhr aufgeschoben werden kann.
Nach der Erfindung sind die Dochtkappen innen so abgeschrägt oder ausgerundet, dass sie sich leicht über den Rand des Dochtrohres hinwegsc1úehen lasset1. Werden die Kappen niedergezogen, so gleiten sie mit ihrer schrägen Innenfläche an dem Dochtgehäuserande entlang und werden hierdurch gleichzeitig seitlich nach aussen bewegt. Schliesslich legen sich die Kappen mit ihrem oberen Rande aussen an das Dochtrohr an und geben den Brenndocht frei. Infolge dieser Gestaltung der Kappen bzw. infolge ihrer selbsttätigen Bewegung können die Kappen mit den Be- wegungsarmen starr verbunden sein, so dass gegenüber den bisher bekannten, mit allerlei Gelenken und Scharnieren versehenen Löschvorrichtungen die Erfindung unbedingt sicher wirkt.
En sind zwar Löschvorrichtungen bekannt, bei denen eine auf dem entsprechcr. d kugeligen Dochtgehäuse versehiebbare Löschkappe innen ausgerundet ist. Die Ausrunduog hat jedoch nicht den Zweck, die Auseinanderbewegung der Dochtkappenteile selbsttarig zu gestalten, sondern sie dient lediglich als Führung.

Im Einzelnen ist die Löschvorrichtung verschiedenartig auszugestalten ; besonders wichtig ist, dass die Löschkappen n innen schräg oder ausgerundet sind, so dass sie durch einfaches Niederziehen von dem Brenndocht seitlich abgleiten. Auch ist es zweckmässig, die die Dochtkappen tragenden Arme in der Länge und den Befestigungsring in der Weite regelbar zu machen, um die Löschvorrichtung jeder beliebigen Lampe anpassen zu können. Wie aus Fig. 3 ersichtlich ist, bestehen die verstellbaren Arme aus je zwei Teilen, den Rohren 8 und den in denselben verschiebbaren Stiften t. Eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform eines verstellbaren Befestigungringes ist in Fig. 4 dargestellt.
Dabei ist das eine Ende des Ringes r umgebogen, so dass dieses umgebogene Ende in am anderen Ende des Ringes r vorgesehene Öffnungen je nach Bedarf eingesteckt werden kann.

Lampen, bei welcher die Löschkappen mittels Federn an einem auf dem Dochtrohr verschiebbaren Ringe befestigt sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Löschkappen (n) an den Federn (m) starr befestigt und innen so abgeschrägt odt'r ausgerundet sind, dass sie bei dem Hochschieben bzw. Niederziehen des Befestigungsringes (r) über den Rand des Docbtrohres leicht hinweggleiten.
