Claims (1)

AT 393 243 B The invention relates to a tire mold ventilation, in which at least one ventilation cylinder is inserted into a prefabricated bore in a tire mold. Tire molds for the production of rubber tires usually have a few thousand (e.g. three thousand) ventilation openings through which air or gas can escape when the rubber compound is filled. For this purpose, the tire molds, which mostly consist of aluminum, are provided with bores of approximately 2 mm 0, into which the ventilation cylinders, which are generally made of steel, are pressed, and which have a through hole of approximately 0.6 mm 0. When the rubber compound is pressed, small plugs enter the through holes, which after vulcanization often tear off when the tire is removed from the mold and get stuck in the through holes. It is therefore constantly necessary to re-drill the through holes. However, because of the small diameter, the drill often breaks off, so that the ventilation cylinder in question is ejected, the associated hole drilled out to about 3 mm and a new ventilation cylinder with a larger outside diameter has to be used. The aim of the invention is to facilitate the interchangeability of the ventilation cylinders and thus to reduce both the time and the cost of the constant maintenance and repair of tire molds. This goal is achieved according to the invention with a tire mold venting of the type mentioned at the outset in that the venting cylinder is inserted into the bore with radial play and is pressed by a spring supported against a pressed-in base sleeve against a spring or threaded sleeve which is flush with the inside of the mold. If an unrecoverable blockage of the ventilation cylinder occurs in the tire mold ventilation according to the invention, then only the spring or threaded sleeve has to be removed, whereupon the ventilation cylinder can be removed from its bore and replaced by a new one. It is therefore unnecessary to drill or re-drill the hole. In addition, the mounting of the ventilation cylinder according to the invention also makes it possible to select materials which have hitherto not been usable, but which are nevertheless suitable, such as ceramic or glass. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. A plurality of bores (2) are formed in a tire shape (1). In each bore (2) - facing the outside of the mold - there is a pressed-in base sleeve (3), which has a conical taper (4) on the outside to make it easier to press in. The bore (2) is closed against the inside of the mold with a spring sleeve (5), which has a continuous slot (6), a through bore with an inlet cone (7), an outer cone (8) and a centering recess (9). Instead of the spring sleeve (5), a threaded sleeve can also be used, which requires a threaded section in the bore (2). Between the base sleeve (3) and the spring sleeve (5), a ventilation cylinder (10) is clamped, the outside diameter of which is slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the Bore (2), and which has a through bore (11) aligned with the through bore of the spring sleeve (5) and a truncated cone section (12) protruding into the centering recess (9) is located between the ventilation cylinder (10) and the base sleeve (3) a spring (13) (here: coil spring), which presses the ventilation cylinder (10) against the spring sleeve (5). To replace the ventilation cylinder (10), a blow is made on the spring (13.) from the outside of the mold through the base sleeve (3) ) struck until the spring sleeve (5) emerges from the bore (2) on the inside of the mold. A threaded sleeve, on the other hand, would only have to be unscrewed. A patent claim for tire mold ventilation, in which at least one ventilation cylinder is inserted into a prefabricated bore in a tire mold, characterized in that the ventilation cylinder (10) is inserted into the bore (2) with radial play and supported by a spring (13 ) is pressed against a spring or threaded sleeve (5) which is flush with the inside of the mold. 1 sheet drawing -2-
