Die schwenkbar angelenkten Stützstreben (26 und 27) sind doppelarmig ausgebildet und bestehen aus einem außermittig angelenkten geradlinigen Material-, insbesondere Holzzuschnitt, derart daß sie je nach ihrer jeweiligen Schwenklage vermittels ungleich langer Stützarme eine gegenüber der Ebene des Sitzteilrahmens (2) bzw. des Fußrahmens (10) mehr oder minder hoch liegende Abstützung für das jeweils vordere Ende der beiden Rostteile (17 und 18) bilden. Die Stützstreben (26 und 27) sind in Querrichtung des Liegensessels jeweils paarweise durch eine Querstange (30) untereinander verbunden und ermöglichen in dieser einfachen Ausfuhrungsform eine Vielzahl von Neigungseinstellungen für die Rostteile (17 und 18), wobei durch einfaches Verschwenken der Stützstreben (26 und 27) insbesondere auch große Neigungswinkel sowohl der Rostteile untereinander als auch der Rostteile gegenüber dem Sitzrahmen und/oder dem Fußrahmen erzielbar sind. Die den Stützstreben (26 und 27) zugeordneten Ausnehmungen (28 und 29) in der Unterseite der Rostteile (17 und 18) sind jeweils in einer zu den Anlenkachsen (24 und 25) der Stützstreben (26 und 27) etwa deckungsgleichen Lage angeordnet und bogenförmig nach oben durchgewölbt, wobei der Wölbungsbogen der Ausnehmungen (28 und 29) größer ist als der Bogen der Abrundung der Stimenden der Stützstreben (26 und 27), derart, daß die Stützstreben in der Stützstellung immer senkrecht auf ihrer Anlenkachse (24 bzw. 25) stehen, unabhängig davon, welcher der beiden Stützarme sich gerade im Eingriff mit dem zugehörigen Rostteil (17 bzw. 18) befindet.
